I mean there's no difference if you use the Wolves against New JErsey and the Wolves against the Spurs. The game will still always be down the wire.

If you bring your A game with a great team, New jersey should be slim pickings.

I know what you mean..the momentum constantly goes from one team to the other, but Keep in mind, that is in every B-ball game. I played my buddy TODAY in 2k5, and he jumped out to a 26-11 lead in the first quarter, I ended up winning by 1 ( he couldn't remember where the intentional foul button ). I will say that over the last 4 years of B-Ball games, the 2k series has always done it in a little more subtle manner, but it has been there as well...

The real skill is to be able to limit the damage when your opponent gets momentum, and to really press the advantage when its in your favor. When we play Live, my friend always forgets to call TO's when I get hot, and I almost always end up going on a big second half run that puts him away. There is no AI that will arbitrarily help him keep up if he doesn't manage these hot periods...so IMO its cool. In Madden it tends to be predictable because it always happens at the same time, but in Live its a more fluid occurance...sometimes you come out of the gate flat, sometimes you start off hot, and hen lose it later...again basketball is a game of runs.

Yeah I would rather have Lives Comeback "Garbage", than ESPN's blow the computer out by 50 Garbage.... hahaha... I have not lost a game yet in ESPN on the hardest level.... But I have lost 4 games in Live on ALL-Star..

^ There is something seriously wrong about that in this game. I had my created Michael Jordan rated @ 90 in dunking and he missed about 6 consecutive dunks on fast breaks with no one around him when I was up by many points in the fourth. Can someone explain that? I felt as if I couldn't dunk anymore with a big lead so I just took the close jumper, which went in.

well, i can't explain it really. but let me ask, what's your dunk percentage slider set at? perhaps try moving it up in the 90's to eliminate or at least weaken that 'bug'.

I was using Houston against the Knicks. Marbury and Tim Thomas just refused to lose. They would just hit a game tying 3 pointer in my face. and everytime i had a chance to put the game away with a fastbreak, i would miss the stupid dunk. we went into two overtimes before i won.

How did i win ? I put in Mutombo, Yao, Juwan Howard, Tmac and SUra all at the same time in the final minute. The CPU couldn't make an in your face jumper coz i just kept blocking it. hehehe.

That proves that the AI just wants to jack up an in your face shot everytime the game is on the line.

My copy is good too. I haven't seen it. Teams make runs just like in the real NBA. I've had plenty of variety in scores and types of games. I've never once felt cheated.

The cliche is that you only have to watch the last 2 minutes of an NBA game. The games are generally close. Teams can expend a lot of energy catching up, but the team that had a big lead usually wins in the end.

Take it from the guy who literally cries about comeback logic in EA Sports games:

Its still there but it really is'nt as bad as previous years. Its the same with Madden this year. They sort of cut back on it a tad. Sometimes suspect things do happen such as your player tossing the ball out of bounds 2 times straight or missing dunks and layups and also the constant touch fouls but IMO, they have done a excellent job with the momentum in this years game. Sometimes you cant buy a bucket but the other team can, plus they'll have lots of turnovers, then sometimes you can nail everything and the cpu cant...its seems more randomized this year than in the past. Once it kicked in in the past, it was no stopping it. If the cpu wanted to win, it would win and there was absolutely nothing you could do about it. If they wanted you to win, you can feel the game get easy. It seems to be more balanced this year because they actually give you or the cpu a legit chance at a comeback. When I say legit, it actually looks and feels like it should. No constant BS. But sometimes.....

has anyone here blown out the CPU by more than 20 pts? on all-star level. I don't even think its possible unless all your 5 starters are 7 footers (point guard at least 6'8) . i've figured out that height is the only thing that could stop those stupid in your face jumpers by the CPU. so if an oppent's PG is burning you, just put a quick small forward on him. that should shut him up.

I n general, close games are good. however, i miss the feeling of blowing out your opponent from time to time. gives you a feeling of superiority.

SOmething's wrong when you know you've played the perfect game with a very strong team and you only beat the lowly bobcats by just 3 points. EVery time you play them.

Difficulty should vary depending on the team that you play against. If they have the ability in real life, then it's ok.

My point is, It's ok if i was playing the LAkers and Kobe was hitting those crucial shots and he refused to lose. But a sucky team like the Bobcats shouldn't always be able to come back.

I do agree that this is better than what we had last year.
