fast breaks, with no stop and catch

while playing last night i managed to run 4 brakes, a 3 on 2 and a couple of 3 on 1's, and when i passed the ball to the wingman he didn't stop to receive it, he actually caught it in stride and went to the hoop...after that i started to experiment with the passing to see how i made it happen, and it appears that i held the pass button and moved the analog stick to the right ,left, or in front of the receiver after the pass was released(kind of like an after touch) and it worked 80% of the time, this is still a work in progress, but if anyone else can give this a shot and see what they come up with would help....not being able to run the brake is the biggest flaw in the game for me, so if i can get it to run brakes like this on a regular, i'll be more than satified with this game.

    That's interesting...

Could EA have implemented something like that?

    Has anyone else tried this?

Possibly, since EA's manuals are completely worthless, how would we ever know...

In this game there are two types of fast breaks. The kind we see most of time really is isnt a fast break, and occurs on long rebounds. The players run down the floor and seem to be filling the lanes, but when you pass it to them they stop. The other type occurs on steals and some blocks. On these types of breaks, the players streak down the court with their hands up. It seems that in my experience, whenver you pass to the guys that have their hands up, they do the sweet "catch the ball in-stride" animation and take it to the hoop.

                        mr. pres...

I posted a quite in-depth analysis on this a few weeks ago that surfaced the same results...yet few responded.

I think I titled the thread: Fastbreak problem Solution S(traight from the CPU to You).

After noting that CPU fast-breakers spun after catching the ball on the run, i played w/ controls to figure out how to make my man spin too...

It also might have to do with what offensive stragaties you run. I was playin a motion and I got more breaks than dynamic and a 1-4 high. On a secondary break, SGs and SFs would just skip past halfcourt all slow and ****
