I really think the play sets don't work this year...
The plays seem to break down etc and it's all 'solo' stuff?Comment

Yeah... it think people need to give up on the playsets. They just result in players bunching up and one on one play. Dynamic plays great this year so I dont see the need for playsets/Comment

I can't stand the way the game plays with these playbooks. Its SO much better to play with Dynamic on. Its a more fun and actually MORE realistic game with it on!Comment

Re: Possible Solution to the Assist Problem
Offensive Awareness is definitely not the problem. Just play with the 80's All Stars, nearly half those guys have Offensive Awareness in the 90's. I saw 12 total assists from them in a 12 minute quarter game. Magic had 2 and his OFFAWR is 99.
I am positive that this game now has problems distinguishing what is an assist and what isn't. Three times in one game I saw the same move...Point guard bounce passes into the center in the post. Center takes one power dribble towards the basket, fakes one way, then takes a jumpshot the other way, all in one motion. The move takes less than two seconds. Most real NBA statisticians would see this post-entry pass as an assist but the game does not.
I am not saying this is the only problem with the assist count but obviously things are not going to get perfect if the game messes up on counting statistics like this.NBA 2K18 ratings for several seasons generated from advanced analytics using the SportsCrunch system:

You cant just change the OA rating and think its gonna work. You have to follow all three steps that are in my first post. I'm not sure its a definite fix but its sure has worked for me in 5 games.Comment
