On Twitter, there are plenty of people "screaming" about roster editing, every day. By not including it, EA are just hurting their own sales. And what's Frostbite gonna do? Frostbite is not the Messiah. Using it on Live 19 is not going to erase all the issues this game has had and continues to have, since Live 14.

You're totally right. I'm one of those potential buyers who won't buy the game because of lack of customization.

In 2017 you need to be able to do what the hell you want to do with your roster, to keep your game fresh and have fun.
If I want to make John Lucas II a 99 overall, 7'4", with the body of prime Wilt Chamberlain, then just give me the chance to do it.

The roster editing is a HUGE deal, but if they'd just update consistently, this game would be worth keeping.

Does no one else have an issue with the CPU NOT subbing out in play now mode if you set rotations to manual? I don't know how it is in franchise mode, but in play now you can't control your own substitutions 'cause the CPU will not sub any players.

That's as big as the roster editing to me... cause on auto, the subbing is just not "right" or smart at all.

Yes, the lack of roster editing is a HUGE DEAL is putting it lightly in my opinion. No roster editing for a sports game? Especially one of the 3 main sports? I honestly am in disbelief over this not being in the game.

What is funny a lot of guys who said editing wasn't a huge deal are now complaining about Roster updates. I tried telling people before the game was released that no editing or customization is a game breaker. It is what is keeping me from buying the game, and I know alot of others who feel the same.

I stayed away from next gen lives mainly because of no roster editing, and when I bought live 18, I thought for sure that there was no way that it would be left out for their 4th next gen effort. It may seem small, but I hate players wearing wrong numbers, and not being in control myself. I will never by another sports game lacking this many features again.

I don't think that they can't add roster editing, but they won't for whatever reason. But what ea needs to realize is that without that, the live series will just remain is a niche basketball game for consumers, because most people will skip the game without that critical feature.

And if there's any time for ea to capitalize on their competitor's flaws, now is the time. I was shocked reading the user reviews on steam. A lot of people are pissed at the other game for horrible micro-transactions, too many layups being missed, and their bad servers has been a legacy issue for a while now. But people will still buy it with live still lacking important features.

For live 19, fix all of the problems with franchise mode, add a franchise mode for wnba(which I didn't expect to like at all, but I do now), add roster editing, add more sliders, add descriptions for what the sliders do, and fix the kinks in the gameplay and suddenly you have a true basketball contender.

Same here. I was going to buy the game because 2k this year is BROKEN (the easy penetrations are just awful) but then I found out there is no editing.

My beef with the game and the sole reason i stopped playing is due to the tuning updates (synergy) that are causing the gameplay to go from good, to an all out cpu cheesefest. The lack of roster updates is just one more straw on the camel's back and reason for me to vent at EA. Otherwise i'd be able to put up with that omission.

I do however HATE that the player likeness "guru" puts players in team-colored socks -- makes the game look awful. Since when did Lakers players wear yellow socks??? TFOH...

The sad part about all this is this thread would still be here even if EA was on the clock 24/7 with the updates because there is no possible way to please everyone when it comes to ratings, player gear, etc. because we all have our different opinions on how this or that should be, but what cancels out all the major complaints is an edit player/roster feature which I hope if its not patched in this year EA learns just how important of a feature that is and features it in their game from now on.

Just decided to take my game back to Gamestop & trade it in for a future in store credit. I already had NBA 2K18 & just not impressed again with this game either.

Live really has 2K beat in my opinion on gameplay this year but I can't keep a game lacking roster updates & most importantly no roster editing. Just can't do it period! I will go back to NBA 2K14 on PS3 & also both CH 2K8 & NCAA Basketball 10 on PS3.

I will still play NBA 2K18 though some on PS4 but this game has its flaws so much. I might even stick with last years version of NBA 2K(17) for PS4 as long as someone hopefully keeps the roster updated like rovert or somebody. Just a shame though on EA Sports part. This might even kill the game for future versions. We won't know for a few more months.

Amen. When the discussion of roster editing came up a while back, most of the comments were, "I don't really mind not being able to change wristbands and socks lol." Yeeah. It's a little bigger than that.

I mean, for $29.99 I guess it's a trade off. Slow/non-existent roster updates, plus the game is effectively worthless after the playoffs are over.
