Yep, The Show is a boutique title. It drives sales of Playstations even to people that do not play or buy the baseball game. Sony uses it as an example of what the PS does that the Xbox can't. If they start selling on on the Xbox, it also devalues the PS as premium device.

Honestly, this is why we really need Microsoft to moneyhat an Xbox exclusive baseball title. Baseball games no longer sell enough to be a worthy risk for a third party. But like Sony, Microsoft can offset some of the cost of making an MLB game as marketing, to help sell additional consoles. While EA and 2K making a game for the Xbox might sell more consoles, they don't get paid for that.

I wonder how much of this has to do with Microsoft's agreement to exit the sports gaming market in order to appease EA. I mean, if EA isn't going to make a baseball game, Microsoft ought to be able to, but it really could depend on their agreement.

Doesn't surprise me, NBA Live hasn't been a strong seller for years, reasons why EA skipped a few years in releasing the game.

Roster editing was just patched in. Depending on what they allow users to edit, sales should get a big boost. I am just waiting on details before purchasing.

If the game continues to improve and the devs listen to the community, the word will get out and eventually the sells will come. I'm happy to say that I've jumped on the NBA Live bandwagon. It's just a fun basketball game to play. A good mix of simulation and arcade basketball. You can't go wrong either way.

I'll say that I expect next year to sell much better. Once the other modes are fleshed out, and it's a more complete title, I feel they'll have some momentum and some goodwill built up with the community where they can regain their footing in the market. They've made huge strides this year, with the addition of editing, 3v3, etc.

Any news on h2h with friends? Stinks not being able to play any other way than share play on PS4.
