[emoji38] Listen, I've been crazy critical of Live here recently, but those are taken from the gameplay from the tutorial courts guys. Will it look identical in the arena atmosphere, no, because they're brighter, so the shadowing etc will be different. I'm actually pushing for them to still use this lighting/shading on the players, even though it's not as authentic in a well lit arena, just because it looks so dang good.

Still don't think the in game ones from the other thread look the same even if it's zoomed in or out. Lightning shouldn't make the faces look low quality.

Haha, those one pictures are taken from someone's phone from EA Play. EA does this junk, shooting themselves in the foot, allowing certain folks to take pictures in the creators cave. Me and another GC were shocked at the screens released. These are the in game models. They will look vastly better than the EA Play off screen players. They already do and lighting isn't finalized yet.

Where the lighting lands on the spectrum, I don't know. I've given my 2 cents. Whether or not that matters I don't know. Even if they go the way of 2k and have dark arena's to save processing power for these shaders/lighting on the players, I'd be fine with that.

That jersey fit and texture looks better than anything we've had in a basketball game... Now does it stay that way during game-play, that seems to have been in issue with Live for awhile now.

Why aren't they showing the players on real courts? If they supposedly look this good at all times, why not show it?

Yes I have. And I posted somewhere else, maybe here, maybe Twitter. These are the Exact same player models that will be in the NBA live arenas in game. Lighting is the last thing they finalize after seeing how much processing power they have left.

The shadowing and lighting will be different in an NBA arena. I've encouraged them even if it's not authentic arena lighting, to get as close to this as possible in the arenas. Whether or not they will, idk.

These are the same res models you'll see on the floor though. Lighting and shading plays a big part of the final product though.

Even the biggest non live fan has to admit these models to look amazing. Best ever in a Ball game.....

If ea really wants to reel me in. Show me some bench players, how accurate are they ??

Things aren't adding up. Not seeing the same fidelity as the screenshots in any of the gameplay I've seen. Not sure why he'd suggest to watch old game play that doesn't represent what the game currently looks like.

I don't care if things are adding up for you. The Joel Embiid short video that was released today is 1 on 1 in the tutorial gym is captured in Gameplay. EA Play build is around 3 months old at this point, crazy early.

I've been overly critical of Live this year as I'm not happy with the overall direction, but go to Donnies Twitter, or Erika's Twitter, or Project Leet Antonio's Twitter. They have stated time and again, THESE ARE IN GAME GRAPHICS. The screens are taken in the tutorial gym, just like the Embiid video. If you don't want to believe it, that's fine man. Wait til the demo is out and judge for yourself. I have no reason to lie to you because honestly I couldn't care less what people think about it. I want them to go full force w the NBA portion of the game, which has been robbed somewhat by The One experience, so I'm a bit jaded. But I'll definitely give them props where they're due. This year, graphically and Rpm are big additions and improvements respectively.

Do you think they will figure out a way to use this lightning for the NBA arenas even though it has an nighttime outdoor appeal to it? I'm not happy with the direction they're taken either I would like more of the NBA portion as well, but it is what it is. I'm just waiting for them to announce more details about the meat and potatoes of the game. I really want to know what changes and features have been made to franchise and the league portion of the one.

No, I don't personally. I'm pushing for it though. For this lighting to take place in the NBA arena, they'd have to salvage some processing power somewhere else. Think about it... the tutorial arena has 6 players, I believe. The NBA arenas have 10 players on the court, 16 on the bench +/- plus coaches crowds, etc. That's a lot of shading, etc.

I don't know how the final product will look on the floor.

And ForeverVersatile, I just re-read my post above. Don't read it as me being harsh, lol. Because truly, I don't care one way or another. In re-reading it, it sounds much more harsh than how I'm actually typing it.

The game looks gorgeous in the tutorial screen, I'll vouch for that much personally. Graphically, this game is on par with any of the best looking games I've seen, face scan wise. Just very impressive.

No need to take it so personal because I'm not saying you're lying, just questioning what i see. You're the resident game changer so that's I'm even directing my comments to you.
