Re: NBA Live 19 Trial For EA Access Subscribers Available Now
Anyone playing on Xbox One X? Wondering if the game has HDR enabled. I noticed with the demo on PS4 Pro there was no option for HDR. Wasn't sure if that will be true of the full game or not. That could make a difference in terms of the sweat and graphics all around. Perhaps there might even be a day 1 patch for it.
Just disappointing to see that screenshot of Durant that is supposedly captured from the in game engine but, based on the demo at least, visuals don't look nearly as good.
As far as the Durant screen, it's just lighting. The model and textures are the same. WTF posted a screenshot from the practice gym where he looked great.Comment

Just can't justify paying full price for the game. If the past few years are any indication it won't take Live too long to go on sale. By Black Friday it'll probably no more than $30 if not less. I like the gameplay but I know I'll get a lot more mileage out of 2K. If I feel the need to scratch that Live itch I'll just go back to the demo for a little bit.Comment

How are the generated rookie draft classes?
Do they have a scan of Jokic on the Nuggets? They're my favorite team and I couldn't even play with them because looking at the fake Jokic was so disconcerting.
Is the game tighter, more polished than the demo in terms of gameplay?Comment

Re: NBA Live 19 Trial For EA Access Subscribers Available Now
No HDR support is a little puzzling to me. It's all but expected for sports games these days, and most new releases in general. The game looks good but I was expecting to be a little more impressed when those player screenshots came out. Knew it was too good to be true but gave the game the benefit of doubt when claims were made that the screens were from the in game engine.Comment

Question for those playing, how are the generated rookies? Ever since I started to get into the draft process the last several years I'm really interested to see if there is any logic behind the generated players or if it's like 2k where it's just randomized and you get guys with red cornrows and full scuba gear.Comment

They may not do this, but im pretty sure Madden added HDR support in a update to madden last year , it was not ready at launch. Guess we can hope for that maybe ?Comment

That's exactly where I'm at right now. I love the gameplay and overall atmosphere of the arenas, but I can't see me giving this too many hours to warrant the price initially even with the 33% off. Waiting like I have the last 2 games till the game was like $20-$15 during the holidays makes the most sense.Comment

They technically are, but the y'all should have known it wasn't representative of the actual in game graphics given they were all from that highly stylized practice gym that has crazy lighting. There was gameplay from E3 that clearly showed what in arena lighting did to the players.Comment
