Just saw this on Reddit. Excited to hear what they have to say Friday but their continued support for 19 and the fact they want to discuss 19 more is worrisome.

The fact that they say they will have news coming soon about the “future” of NBA Live and not news about Live 20 specifically says a lot to me.

I don't get a canceled vibe from that tweet, but it doesn't make me think we will see Live 20 this year.
I expect it will go digital only, and possibly free with EA Access. They need to lower costs while they build up the game to where it can actually compete. There is almost nothing they could do to release 2K's stranglehold on sales for this upcoming game. 2K is locked in.
But things change, and the NBA market is worth too much to just give up on. Unlike MLB and Hockey, there are enough sales to just hang on until the landscape changes, if they reel in costs. And EA is huge enough to weather more down years. I suspect 2K would have bought up the NBA license exclusively if the NBA would consider it.
I thin the main thing they have to do is make NBA Live cross platform, full stop. Then put it on PC. Tripling the user base for online play would improve The One experience a lot. Well, it would be tripled from my view, on XB1, but probably not from a PS4 user's perspective.
I am curious to see what they do.Comment

I don’t see “cancel” either. I actually expect live 20 to be a 19 DLC update for current owners, and a discounted ‘20 for new users, possibly as an EA access package deal.
....Cross platform play could be a game changer.
Regardless, if they ask for feedback please keep giving it. It’s helping a lot.

Q&A on a year old game? Yea I’ll pass EA. Talk about not knowing your audience. No one cares about Live 19 this late in the year. If they plan on actually producing a game for next gen that’s all we are getting. Live 20 is as good as cancelled imoComment

Hopefully they completely open. Up the store and make EVERYTHING purchasable. I have like 500k just sitting there.
I still get a Live Run in every once in a while. The fact they are still updating '19 is pretty telling though...Comment
