The fatigue SLIDER (along with the substitution slider) are something I am still working out. I am not liking where those sliders are right now because I am noticing 12th men coming in in the 1st quarter. The fatigue ratings, I use the exact same technique as EA Sports does, minutes per game, so those should be all good.

I don't know if this is a coincidence, but Shaq didn't play the pick and roll and just camped in the lane waiting to swat shots.

Something I didn't really like was the CPU doubling the point guard at the 3pt line before he made his move...which left guys like Lewis and Ginobili with wide open shots...several times.
Hmmph. Well, I'll look to see with the DEFAWAR ratings. Also remember, there are some flaws with the AI that any amount of rating tweaks just won't fix.

Overall, I really like this one a lot, definetly better than the first time around.
        Good, I am glad.

Guys, there are a couple of things I really want you guys to look out for. I want to know if the CPU block totals look normal now and also if players are taking the right shots from the right distances on the floor.

Re: Some teams for Sonicmage roster update

My first impressions...I used the updates for Miami & Philly & it was the most enjoyable game I've ever played. I was Philly & came back from being 13 points down only to have UDONIS HASLEM hit a tying 3 pointer to potentially send the game to OT. Then, Alonzo Mourning blocked the go ahead layup as time expired. I ended up winning 124-116 in OT. Now on to the specifics.

Shot selection by the CPU was pretty good. Both Eddie & Damon Jones were killing me from beyond the 3pt line because Shaq did a good job passing out of double teams. Shaq really wasn't a factor point wise for the first quarter & a half, but he eventually started using his drop step & dropping his shoulder & pretty much took Dalembert & Webber to school in one on one situations. Dewayne Wade attacked the basket alot, but he also hit a few pull up jumpers on some people. Zo came in & filled nicely, putting up a double double made a key block that sent the game into OT. The game just seems to flow a lot better with these ratings. I saw A LOT more continuation on layup/dunk fouls...I'm not sure if it had anything to do with the rating changes, but I figured that it's worth noting considering the fact that it almost never happened for me in the past. It appears to me that the teams play more like the actual players now.

Blocks were reduced significantly...no more cheap CPU blocks everytime a shot goes up. Shaq had 4, Haslem had 1, Mourning had 1 for the Heat. On my squad, Dalembert was the only person who had some blocks with 4.

On the whole, everyone pretty much played their roles, with a few people having games that would be considered pretty good considering who they are. Here are some of the noteworthy stats:

            MIA
            O'Neal 17pts 13 reb 5 ast 4 blk
            Haslem 9 pts 10 reb
            E Jones 19 pts 4/7 3pt
            D Wade 20 pts 5 reb 1 ast
            A Mourning 12 pts 12 reb 1 blk
            D Jones 20 pts 4/9 3pt

            PHI
            Iverson 31 pts 7 ast 2 st
            Webber 27 pts 13 reb
            Dalembert 20 pts 16 reb 4 blk
            Korver 26 pts 6/15 3pt
            Iguodala 9 pts 4 stl

Those are the only teams that I have edited for now. I'll edit a couple more later & try em out.

The blocks have been pretty good...most games both teams are around the 6-8 mark.

For the most part, players are shooting from the right area... ie Q. Rich living at the 3 pt. line, Shaq banging in the paint... I have noticed every guard I've played against is taking it to the hole a lot.

Yes, this is due to most of their inside scoring ratings. I used their free throw attempts to field goal attempts ratio to approximate how much a player likes to score in the paint so guards who take it to the rack a lot get high IS ratings. Looks like it worked.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. Sounds excellent, I've been noticing these ratings make players play more realistically, too. You guys should see how my historic players play....phew, fantastic.

So ok, I have one more player to create, and then it should be all ready for release. Then someone else can pick it up, and convert it to PS2 and Xbox.

And no complaining about certain created players missing! If they didnt play enough minutes for their team, I didn't think it was worth creating them, just to have crappy opinion-based ratings. The only one that stands out to me rosterw-ise who is missing is Vujacic.

I might come out with another release a couple weeks later, with all the decades, international, and allstar teams edited, too.
