This thread will be for guy's interested in designing their own playbooks. You can assign them however you like based upon each teams strengths and weaknesses.
I will post the Play Name and a brief description as to how it is run and which player it is intended to get the ball to for a shot. You can also make your franchise adjusment before starting up by changing certain Super Star players skill level or just change players posistions if you like to design plays that fit their skill.
This will be a spin off based on my sliders. But the thread is for anyone who wants to create their own playbooks for their team or other teams. If you have questions regarding the plays or need help with which play might work best for a player on your team please use this thread and not the slider thread because it will be easier to reply that way instead of posting answers in to questions in the slider thread about plays.
I will give example of players who best fit a paticular play set to give you an idea of which players might be most effective. I'll update information until all the plays are listed and briefly described. I'll do my best to explain how they work. You can also tell the direction that the play starts in by holding down the ZONE button it tells you were all plays start from on the court.
PLAY CHARTS
SCREEN GAME-Is designed to free up the PG coming off two screens up high. The first is set by the PF and the second screen is by the SG. The PG is going to come off both screens to get open or drive to the rack. He can also kick a pass back out to the PF or SG for a shot.
Example:Iverson is rubbing off a screen from Webber intially, then a second pick comes from Korver out high aswell. AI can then drive too the hole or setup one of those two guy's for a jumper if they are left open.

HIGH SCREEN-Is designed similiar to Screen game however, only one guy sets the screen this time the PF. The play is designed to come off his screen and drive the lane. If the defense stops you kick back to the PF who is going to roll to the basket after he sets the pick.
Example:Jason Terry dribbles towards Dirk Nowitzki up high. Terry comes off Dirk's screen and he can either look to score off the drive or kick it back to Nowitzki who s rolling to the basket.

PHILLY-Is designed to to be a give an go play between the PG and SF. From what I"ve seen the players are staggered to start out with on the court. The PG passes to the SF, then imediatley after the pass he cuts toward the basket hoping to get open. The SF will pass it right back to the PG for an easy layup. (I reccomend using this play for SF's who are very talented passers like LeBron, Grant Hill or Tyshaun Prince types).
Example:Nash passes to Shawn Marion then he quickly cuts toward the basket and Marion tries to hit him in stride for a layup. That is essentially what a give and go is termed.

BOSTON:This play very simliar to Philly accept the players are in a more spread formation. The PG is passing left to the SF then he cuts to the basket looking for a layup oppurtunity. (Again a good passing SF is reccomended).
Example:Paul Pierce recieves a pass from Marcus Banks out wide to the left then Banks cuts towards the basket and Pierce try's to deliver a nice pass for a layup. If it's not there Pierce can drive or shoot a jumper.

BALANCE-Is kinda like an ISO play because the PG is on the left side of the court by himself. He will move right towards the other 4 players. The Center is going to cut to the basket from the top of the key so the PG can pass to him as he cuts into the lane or waite for the SG to come free up high on the right wing after a pick by either the PF or SF. The SG can then take an open shot if the Center didn't get the ball.
Example:Marbury is alone on the left side of the court then he dribbles right towards Curry. Curry rolls into the lane before Marbury reaches him and then Crawford comes up from the right baseline off a screen by Taylor or Richardson. Marbury's initial look is for Curry if it's not there he fires a pass to Crawford for a 3-point shot. You can switch to ISO before this play starts.

Power C-Is basically what the name say's. The Center is going to battle down low for posistion and the PG will attempt to feed him the rock. This play starts out on the left side of the court.
Example:Shaq is posted up on the low blocks and Jay Williams #'1 option is to feed him the ball low for a dunk or layup.

SHUFFLE-Has both the PF and C along the left side of the court. The PG is out high on the right side. Either your PF or C flash along the lane and the PG can look to deliver a nice pass.
Example:Lorenzen Wright and Paul Gasol are both lined up stack on the left side of the court. One of them will cut across the lane and Damon Stoudamire will fire a pass inside to them if they establish a good post posistion.

BULLS-EYE-The PF or Center will come up from the baseline on the left side of the court and set a pick for the PG. The PG will come off the pick and look to the right side of the court for the low post player who has established posistion. The PG will look to distribute tht ball to whichever front court player PF or C is posting up on the right side.
Example:Naji Muhammed is posting up on the left side of the court. He comes up high and sets a pick for Parker who drives to the right side and then looks for Duncan down low if he has sealed off his man on the right low blocks.

CAVELIER-This play is designed to get the ball to the SG for a nice oustide shot. All players are spread out with the SG to the right. The PG can pass to who ever is on the left side possibly your SF who can then create his own shot or the PG will waite for the SG who runs from the right side of the court to the left and spots up for a deep jumper.
Example:Andre Miller is bringing the ball up court, Carmelo is along the left side with Martin at the high elbow and Lenard is up high opposite Melo on the right. Miller wil either pass quickly to Melo giving him a one on one chance or waite for Lenard to run across court from righ to left spotting up for 3-pointer. Melo slides down along the baseline as Lenard begans to go in motion.

RIP ISO-Is designed to free up the SG for a midrange jumper. The play starts with the SF out high to the right and the PG on the left side of the court. The SG is along the left baseline by himself. With the play in motion the PG starts the play towards the baseline and the SG moves right then comes back up towards the top of the key looking for an open shot.
Example:Chaucey Billups drives left towards the baseline to start the offense Rip Hamilton who was setup low on the left side veers right then returns to the top of the key hoping Billups delivers him the ball for a nice midrange jumper. Some guy's like Michael Redd will extend the play out to the 3-PT line because the AI does a good job on keeping players within their range this year. This could also be a deadly play for Ray Allen types.

TRIPLE THREAT-This is my favorite play overall because it's designed to have options. All 5 players are spread across the floor. The PG is looking to go right and either the SG or SF is located on the left side. The PG will target one of the two looking to create an ISO situation on the left. That will leave him one on one to either drive, shoot a midrange jumper or hit one of the cutting players who come free from the right side (SF, PF or C) usually it's a SF depending on the Offensive awareness of the players.
Example: Nash kicks the ball over to Jim Jackson who has his man in a ISO situation, Jackson decides to pass rather than shoot therefor he looks for Shawn Marion or Amare Stoudamire off a cut to the basket coming from the right side of the court. Both players are high awareness offensive players either one of them will most likely make the cut and the CPU doesn't always make it the same guy who cuts. So, if your PF is atheletic and gifted and is being defended by slow PF this play will eat him alive or eat you alive.

SCORER PF-Is designed to get the PF in a good scoring postion off of screens. This play has about 3 players lined up on the left side of the court. The PF will then come off of two screens as he goes left then heads back right towards the basket looking for a layup. This is very patient play and takes time develope.
Example
irk Nowitzki is setup on the left side of the court low on the blocks. He starts out faking left towards the sideline then comes back right off a screen by Dampier and Howard then Terry tries to hit him in stride as comes off the second pick and rolls to the basket looking for a layup oppturnity.

SCORER SF-This is an obvious play based on it's name. The set is geared more towards SF's who can put the ball on the floor and get to the rack. It's kinda like an ISO play with your SF up top. The PG will distribute the ball then the PF will come up from the baseline to set a pick freeing the SF up to attack the basket. This play isn't effective for a guy like Ryan Bowen just because he plays SF. His low Offensive AWR and Ball Handling will disrupt the play if you call it for guy's like him.
Example-T-Mac is out high around the center of the court. Rafer Alston kicks the ball over to T-Mac from the right side of the court and Stromile Swift quickly flashes up to set a pick. T-Mac with his explosiveness will look to drive all the way to the rack. Based on his skill he'll probably go for a dunk to complete the play unless yoru big man gets over in time to stop him.

ROCKET FUEL-Has the PG up high with all other players in a square or box set look. It appears that the PG's priority is to get the ball to the SG who runs along the baseline from the rightside of the court. He eventually gets out to the 3-PT line and catches the pass for a long range shot.
Example:Luke Ridnour starts up the play with Ray Allen lined up on the right side of the court. Allen then goes baseline coming out on the left side and Ridnour fires him a pass as he reaches the 3-PT line.

OPTIONS: Pg has two options 1. dribble entry to the left off the floor from the middle. 2. Pass to the right wing.
1. During dribble entry Pf, C sets a pick for pg who looks for the sf, sg cutting through the middle.
2. Pg passes to sg, sf on the right wing, opposite post picks for him and the pg flashes the lane and cuts off of a post man screen to the right baseline.
SINGLE DOUBLE: Pg dribble from the middle to the right side. sf and pf set a double pick for sg coming to the right wing for the shot. If sg doesn't get it, pg reverse dribbles to the left wing, looking for the sf coming off of a screen by the C. Note: sg and sf can be reversed as well as c and pf.
SHOOTER B: Pg dribbles to the right of the floor wings interchange. Wingman coming from the right side gets a double screen from the post men mid lane and looks for the shot. This also opens up a great 2 man game on the left of the floor.

DOUBLE BACK SCREEN-The PG starts out right with the other players lined up on the left. This play actually starts by driving towards the baseline based on the digram that Live gives you. The SF will then cut towards you first before he rolls to the basket. He's the first option but if you don't get him the pass look for someone else to come free on the left.
Example:Sam Cassel is driving baseline and Cory Maggette flashes out high then cuts back to basket looking for a pass from Cassell, if Maggette gets the rock he'll probably draw foul or dunk on someone's azz. If not Cassell will come back with a pass to Cuttino Mobley who came from the left side of the court up high to the right side and take a long range shot off a pass from Cassell.

FLARE-PG is aligned up on the left with the rest of the team spread out. Pg has to go towards the baseline to start the play according to EA's diagram. There will then be like several cuts if you hold the ball and your Center will eventaully come over for a low post setup looking to score.
Example-Jayson Williams drives left to wards the baseline and after a cut back Walker and Wade he doesn't get either the ball then Shaq slides over to the left low blocks establishes posistion and Williams delivers him a pass for a nice low post score.

HIGHFLYER SG-This play is designed for guy's listed as highflyer's. Basically, your players are packed in the lane from what I can tell. Then your PG based on EA's diagram starts the play on the right. IN motion the SF will venture right for a 3-pt shot and your SG will will drive the middle of the lane. You should hit one of those two guy's and hopefully your SG is a guy who can get up once he's in the paint.

Example:Baron Davis starts the play on the rightside of the court. Mike Dunleavy runs to right and sets up in three point range then Jason Richardson makes a hard cut in the paint giving Davis an option to go to Dunleavy or hit him for a timed alley oop if no defenders are in posistion or just attempt a layup finish off the drive. Davis can also attack if neither options is open so keeping his dribble is important.

HIGHFLYER SF-Basically the same type of play as Hiighflyer SG accept the the players aren't packed in the lane. They are spread out more with the PG up high at center court. The SG is on the left this time then he will make a hard cut towards the basket hoping to finish with a dunk or layup.
Example:Again Davis has the Rock up at center court high. Everyone else is spread out for the Warriors then Richardson who was aligned up high left cuts hard to basket and Davis delivers him a nice pass and he throws it down on some weak azz center or PF who came over late on help defense.

SHOOTER A-Is designed for the SG to score in two ways. The Play starts with your PG up high at center court. The other players are more scattered than spread out. The PG is suppose to go right to start the play, then the SG who was on the right will head towards the lane, then comes back out again on the left side of the court close to three point range. He can score off the cut or take the pass once he gets back outside.
Example:Tony Parker is up high Center court then he drives right while Ginoboli cuts the basket from the rightside and then comes back out to the left up high near 3-PT range and Parker hits him for a 3-pointer if he didn't make the pass duing the cut as the initial look.

SONIC-Is designed for both the SG and SF to get off good shots from ouside. The PG starts out by moving right everyone else is bunched up on th eleft side of the court. The SG drives towards the basket then he will come back left looking for a jumper from midrange. The SF will run right on a delayed cut then come free looking for a 3-pointer.
Example:Luke Ridnour ha sthe ball and starts his dribble going right Ray Allen is going to drive towards the rim but htne comeback out Ridnour can hit him for a jumpor or waite for Rashard Lewis to cut right on a delay then spot up for 3-pointer if Allen doen't get the ball first.

RISING SUN-Your players are all along the baseline. Make youe PG go right to start the play based on EA's diagram. You should be in the middle of the court before you start. The C or PF will come up to set a pick for you near the courts center. If the pick gets you free you can attack the basket, but if you get slowed down the PF or C will roll to the rack and you can deliver a pick and roll pass.
Example-This is very easy to visualize. Just think Nash and Amare punking my damn Mavs last year in the playoffs with this play over and over again.....

POWER PF-Is basically an Iso Play for the PF down low. He will battle for posistion and the PG will attempt to feed him the ball. The other players are spread out. The Center is also a second low post option on thisa play.

DEFENSES
MAN TO MAN-Pretty simple everyone defends their own man.
2-3 ZONES-Should be used for teams that have good low post scorers. You should force teams to take outside shots. The base 2-3 is kinda stationary and the 2-3 Shifting Zone lets guy's move around more and defend the perimeter shot more but then you'll give up more low post chances. If you use the Trapping Zone Version it will try to trap the ballhandler when verf he near the edge of the court.
1-3-1 ZONES-Has your PG out high up front and C under the basket. These Zones are good vs team swho try to break down defenses off the dribble. Guy's like KObe and T-Mac can be slowed down with these defenses if they try to drive too much. You will give up free shots from the baseline though if you run this defense.
3-2 ZONES-Very simple 3 players are up front. Usually the PG is up front and the SF and SG on the corners. The C and PF are along the baselines defending. These zones are good vs protecting the lane aswell and also good defensive rebounding with both big men down low all the time. IF a team is poor at shooting three's this is a good defense. If you have good defensive SF like Bowen, Artest, Prince this is reallyu good to have him use the size advantage over PG's who like to drive and kick out. The trapping version allows for the players to trap the ball handler up high more often.
BOX AND 1/DIAMOND AND 1-This defenses are geared towards shutting down the lane. The PG is chasing all over the court while the other players are in a BOX shape or DIAMOND look defensively. A guy like Darrell Armstrong is perfect PG for this play in situational oppurtunities. Your PG could tire out quickly aswell so be deligent when calling these plays.
THE PRESS DEFENSES are used to either go halfcourt or full court hoping to force bad passes or kill time off the shot clock before you set up an offense. There are too many versions to explain and it would confuse guy's as to who goes where on the court doing ball movement. So, if you see the CPU alligned in a funky setup chances ar ethey are about to come after you.

FLARE-PG is aligned up on the left with the rest of the team spread out. Pg has to go towards the baseline to start the play according to EA's diagram. There will then be like several cuts if you hold the ball and your Center will eventaully come over for a low post setup looking to score.
Example-Jayson Williams drives left to wards the baseline and after a cut back Walker and Wade he doesn't get either the ball then Shaq slides over to the left low blocks establishes posistion and Williams delivers him a pass for a nice low post score.

HIGHFLYER SG-This play is designed for guy's listed as highflyer's. Basically, your players are packed in the lane from what I can tell. Then your PG based on EA's diagram starts the play on the right. IN motion the SF will venture right for a 3-pt shot and your SG will will drive the middle of the lane. You should hit one of those two guy's and hopefully your SG is a guy who can get up once he's in the paint.

Example:Baron Davis starts the play on the rightside of the court. Mike Dunleavy runs to right and sets up in three point range then Jason Richardson makes a hard cut in the paint giving Davis an option to go to Dunleavy or hit him for a timed alley oop if no defenders are in posistion or just attempt a layup finish off the drive. Davis can also attack if neither options is open so keeping his dribble is important.

HIGHFLYER SF-Basically the same type of play as Hiighflyer SG accept the the players aren't packed in the lane. They are spread out more with the PG up high at center court. The SG is on the left this time then he will make a hard cut towards the basket hoping to finish with a dunk or layup.
Example:Again Davis has the Rock up at center court high. Everyone else is spread out for the Warriors then Richardson who was aligned up high left cuts hard to basket and Davis delivers him a nice pass and he throws it down on some weak azz center or PF who came over late on help defense.

SHOOTER A-Is designed for the SG to score in two ways. The Play starts with your PG up high at center court. The other players are more scattered than spread out. The PG is suppose to go right to start the play, then the SG who was on the right will head towards the lane, then comes back out again on the left side of the court close to three point range. He can score off the cut or take the pass once he gets back outside.
Example:Tony Parker is up high Center court then he drives right while Ginoboli cuts the basket from the rightside and then comes back out to the left up high near 3-PT range and Parker hits him for a 3-pointer if he didn't make the pass duing the cut as the initial look.

SONIC-Is designed for both the SG and SF to get off good shots from ouside. The PG starts out by moving right everyone else is bunched up on th eleft side of the court. The SG drives towards the basket then he will come back left looking for a jumper from midrange. The SF will run right on a delayed cut then come free looking for a 3-pointer.
Example:Luke Ridnour ha sthe ball and starts his dribble going right Ray Allen is going to drive towards the rim but htne comeback out Ridnour can hit him for a jumpor or waite for Rashard Lewis to cut right on a delay then spot up for 3-pointer if Allen doen't get the ball first.

RISING SUN-Your players are all along the baseline. Make youe PG go right to start the play based on EA's diagram. You should be in the middle of the court before you start. The C or PF will come up to set a pick for you near the courts center. If the pick gets you free you can attack the basket, but if you get slowed down the PF or C will roll to the rack and you can deliver a pick and roll pass.
Example-This is very easy to visualize. Just think Nash and Amare punking my damn Mavs last year in the playoffs with this play over and over again.....

POWER PF-Is basically an Iso Play for the PF down low. He will battle for posistion and the PG will attempt to feed him the ball. The other players are spread out. The Center is also a second low post option on thisa play.

DEFENSES
MAN TO MAN-Pretty simple everyone defends their own man.
2-3 ZONES-Should be used for teams that have good low post scorers. You should force teams to take outside shots. The base 2-3 is kinda stationary and the 2-3 Shifting Zone lets guy's move around more and defend the perimeter shot more but then you'll give up more low post chances. If you use the Trapping Zone Version it will try to trap the ballhandler when verf he near the edge of the court.
1-3-1 ZONES-Has your PG out high up front and C under the basket. These Zones are good vs team swho try to break down defenses off the dribble. Guy's like KObe and T-Mac can be slowed down with these defenses if they try to drive too much. You will give up free shots from the baseline though if you run this defense.
3-2 ZONES-Very simple 3 players are up front. Usually the PG is up front and the SF and SG on the corners. The C and PF are along the baselines defending. These zones are good vs protecting the lane aswell and also good defensive rebounding with both big men down low all the time. IF a team is poor at shooting three's this is a good defense. If you have good defensive SF like Bowen, Artest, Prince this is reallyu good to have him use the size advantage over PG's who like to drive and kick out. The trapping version allows for the players to trap the ball handler up high more often.
BOX AND 1/DIAMOND AND 1-This defenses are geared towards shutting down the lane. The PG is chasing all over the court while the other players are in a BOX shape or DIAMOND look defensively. A guy like Darrell Armstrong is perfect PG for this play in situational oppurtunities. Your PG could tire out quickly aswell so be deligent when calling these plays.
THE PRESS DEFENSES are used to either go halfcourt or full court hoping to force bad passes or kill time off the shot clock before you set up an offense. There are too many versions to explain and it would confuse guy's as to who goes where on the court doing ball movement. So, if you see the CPU alligned in a funky setup chances ar ethey are about to come after you.
