Re: Bottom Line: Live 10 or 2K10?
I would think the fatigue factor that severely punishes overusing turbo would be great for 2K10. No?After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!Comment

Re: Bottom Line: Live 10 or 2K10?
I was seriously WHAT??? Just shocked. Combine that with the fact that there were almost no questions about the perimeter game in the entire thread, and that's when I knew that I lived on a different planet than most 2k fans.
All I can say is thank the heavens Live stopped sucking.Comment

Re: Bottom Line: Live 10 or 2K10?
After years of 2K I went Live this year. One thing i noticed was that Live doesnt need many slider adjustments out of the box unlike 2K. Every year it took me about 2-3 weeks to get sliders right. Live does feel fresh this year and I am enjoying itComment

Re: Bottom Line: Live 10 or 2K10?
2k10 is on another level. 2k10 is the bar Live is still trying to reach. Really the gap is not really close. 2k10 is the better game. Live can be fun tho. But it looks and feels horrible.Comment

Re: Bottom Line: Live 10 or 2K10?
Someone mentioned on one of these threads that it really depends on how you play the game. I don't think truer words can be written.
Before this season, 2K was leaps and bounds ahead of Live. Now, we flat out have two great games that are comparable. It's like when the Pistons played the Spurs in the Finals a few years ago. Both games have their own feel and do it well in their own way. The only loser this season is my checkbook.
To each his own, most definitely. After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!Comment

Re: Bottom Line: Live 10 or 2K10?
These are basic fundamentals in bball that makes Live the lesser sim game, cuz it's poorly done. Sliders can't fix these things. 2k has the fundamentals down and sliders can make the game a great basketball sim. The fastbreaks are also done better. The only problem with 2k is sliders out of the box/ranked online games. And they don't seem to have the best servers for the number of ppl who hop online. More ppl play 2k compared to live and for a longer period of time. I'm not an online player though. But the game at it's core is more realistic representation of basketball.Comment

Re: Bottom Line: Live 10 or 2K10?
Yeah, the animations in Live are some of the same clunky ones that have lasted for the last decade. I don't fault EA for keeping them in there, but I think there's a sense of fluidity with 2K's animations that make it feel better. Setting up an offense feels more realistic in Live, but executing it feels better in 2K. It's just silky smooth like a George Gervin finger roll, while Live's animations are like a Shaq free throw. After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!Comment

Re: Bottom Line: Live 10 or 2K10?
Live has a new and improve strategic aspect but that all goes out the window with the horrible animations and clunky shots that the cpu takes
Until EA fixes the most important aspects of simple basketball like
Rebounding which is a complete joke and feels nothing like battling for a board
Animations are horrible
Block shots look unrealistic
What does a sim game mean when you get sim stats based on unrealistic outcomes
2K10 has issues but that game looks and feels like real basketball
EA is on the path to redemption but to even put Live 10 in the breath of a great game is a jokeComment

Re: Bottom Line: Live 10 or 2K10?
Nba 2k10 is by far the more complete game of the two. Live is missing too many of the little things. But for what Live 10 has it does an incredible job. Like I said earlier both games are great, but Nba 2k10 is still the better game.Redskins, Lakers, Orioles, UNC Basketball , and ND Football
