    Re: ID2004: T-Mac vs LeBron

I LOVE ID's commentary. Collabro is funny as hell because his voice is so deep and serious, but he's always saying funny stuff. Marques Johnson is crazy too. I love how they talk about a blowout at the end of a game. When I first registered here, my sig was "Orange ball falling softly through cold, snow white lace."

That's it, I have to pass on Inside Drive this year as I cannot stand Kevin Callabro or however you spell his name as a play by play announcer. He is better suited for NBA Jam or another over the top arcade game. I want to hear actual NBA announcers. I don't care how well a game plays, if the announcers are terrible and annoying, I will never be able to finish a game more or less an entire season. I guess that leaves me ESPN Basketball and the ever so wonderful ISO plays

I haven't heard who was doing the play by play for ESPN this year, does anyone know for sure?

ID has the best commentary for a b-ball game easily and the
dunks are much better than 2k4!

Calabro is a real NBA announcer. The Lakers tried to steal him away to replace Chick Hearn. Good thing he didn't leave. I grew up listening to his commentary and I don't think it would be the same. He does say some non-sensical things in real life sometimes, but not as bad as in the game.

It's the same guys as before, with Tolbert in the studio.

ID and 2K's commentary is stale IMO.

I like the ID guys for the odd game...but turn them off for most games as the comic tone gets a bit old.
