hey I have to admit that was funny. It's all about the timing.

                  Analysis of game owners:
                  ID

Out of the 2,000(figure twisting) people that have an XBOX in this country(me included), only 100(figure twisting) of them have ID2003. The owners, thus, tend to overdefend their game as it becomes kind of like a cult classic. They know the flaws of the game, but ignore them as it is their baby. They don't care about converting other gamers, but they feel superior to other gamers because they have ID...
                  (Wake up!!!)

                  NBA 2k

NBA2kers, on the other hand, think graphics alone will save the world. They overdefend their game because they are aware of the potential of the title, and are afraid of it being cancelled due to poor sales. That is why they try to convert Live(rs) and ID(ers). They ignore the flaws of the game when convincing another gamer, but when alone at home, they yell at the game for being so buggy!
                  (Be honest!)

                  Live

Live owners have three reasons for owning Live:
                  1. They have owned Live since the early 90's and don't know any better.
                  2. They don't know anything about B-Ball and get bombarded by EA Sports advertisements.
                  3. They think they work at EA and try to sell the game to their own mothers.

                  For reason:
                  1. (Don't be afraid of change!)
                  2. (Sheep!)
                  3. (You don't work at EA! They are not paying you!)

                  ----disclaimer---
This does not represent the minority of the people who buy all 3 games and actually plays them more than 10 hours before determining which to keep.

Inside Drive 2002 was in the top 10 of sales for the Xbox my friend, that is where its user base
began. 2003 had no online play so it didnt sell well at all stacked to EA's hyped freestyle control
                  and the loyal 2K fans.

People are converted by the gameplay who loved 2K and Live for years not because of CULT status.
The game has very little bells and whistles and flat out No marketing and it recieves no
                  pub from the press.

                  Gameplay my friend.

I actually cant stand the videos of ID cause the cpu always adjust to your play. If I guard the
PG close he drives to the hole. If I guard the center the cpu abuses the rebounding matchup so
it forces me to work on rebounding etc etc etc.

You cant rest in this game!

Yeah, if that is the case, then all VC did was change the box cover and the name from 2K4 to ESPN. I bought that trash and its going back for ID 2004. ESPN Backetball....what a waste of 50,000 or so DVD-ROM's, if it sells that many in the end.

Yeah, if that is the case, then all VC did was change the box cover and the name from 2K4 to ESPN. I bought that trash and its going back for ID 2004. ESPN Backetball....what a waste of 50,000 or so DVD-ROM's, if it sells that many in the end.

You're the last person who should be talking about sells. How much did fever sell?

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)
