    Re: Get the game ....

Well its hard to open any thread nowadays with out someone coming to say how game A does it better or game B did that last year. So even if you want to talk about game specific info you are stuck reading the game war crap. Comparing is cool but once you compare it once is it really needed to compare it over and over again. I have read neovsmatrix post the same observations in thread after thread like its the Newest Testament. Its not like I did not agree with it to a certain point but for him to keep pushing that Drive is better its like he gets money from the residual sales. Its not just him its like people who have to bash madden after they bought ESPN. Most of these folks trashed Madden when it came out and then felt they had to repeat the same complaints weeks later when they purchased ESPN.

Basically every thread shouldn't have to turn into mine is bigger than yours cause its all in the perception of the beholder.

Actually, comparing, analyzing, and speculating is exactly what these forums are for. I can look at a screenshot and say "Hmmm, I don't like that" and then come here and talk about it.

When you see a thread titled "Three things I hate about ESPN/EA/MS" here's a novel idea:

      " JUST....DON'T....OPEN.....IT!!!!!

      <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Yup. Nice thread, but I'm betting on seeing this exact same opinion expressed about a hundred time within now and the release of the big three basketball games.

      <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

ITs just sad that in society we are not able to like something with out disliking something else. Its like for me to like one of the big three I have to hate the rest to justify my purchase over the other two. So if I see someone point out something good about the other games I have to quickly remind myself that my game is better. It gets old real fast. I mean I know people who hate kobe cause they like Tmac or hate Shaq cause they like Tim Duncan and they will try their best to complain and disregard any good qualities of these players just beacuase they are not their players of choice. Just be man or woman enough to say I like what I like cause I like it not becuase its the best but because its what I like the best.

Nature of the Beast. If I like game A and you like game B, there must be something I don't like in game B, and in discussing what I like about A, my dislikes about B are a natural point of reference, and sometimes even a direct relation.

Example: You simply cannot emphasize enough the level of ID's AI without directly referring to the faults of the AI in 2K3. They are in perfect contrast. Someone who has never played ID can't REALLY relate or understand whats so good about Drive without first thinking about how boring and repetitive the AI could sometimes be in 2K.

                        Feel me?

I agree with Noa though, sometimes it can all be a little repetitive.
