    Re: Get the game ....

That's cool...thought the two monkey refs were to me.

(Don't why I chose such a stupid username actually, goes back to a nickname my girl gave me about being hot tempered like the Monkey God, but that's a whole different story)...

We can agree on the last point

Agree also on flaming, but posters like Neo, Ninja, Dre etc who tend to post on all games news do so in a constructive manner IMO and I enjoy their views...so post away fella's.

The "VC sux, EA sux" etc comments...I just brush past.

Can't agree that 2K3 to ESPN is a 5 year jump...simply because the AI engine looks the same. To fix a lot of those issues may mean ripping it up and starting afresh. Personally, Ii'd rather VC did that then just continue to refine the graphics.

That's just me though...I know a lot of people really get off on the new graphics + presentation, so all power to them and I hope the game rocks.

Not that there aren't some great posts/comments/suggestions made that I think SHOULD be listened to, but the same guy that posts something half-*** intelligent generally turns around and posts something inflammatory and immature a few response later in the same thread.

It probably has something to do with the fact that the average age of everyone here is about 14.

And if a big company like Sega, Microsoft or EA is getting their game ideas from a bunch of Junior High Schooler's, we're all in serious trouble.

they probably don't listen i emailed VC about changing the name of NFL 2K,defensive hot routes, and other stuff it it all happened well most of it. Hell i think if team fever did 65% of what people said on this forum they would have the #1 game next year. You gotta give the gamers what THEY want not what just YOU think.

I should have specified that I was talking about the ESPN football not the BBall game.

We all want improvement and I do trully respect intelligent opinions from posters like neo and your self and others. For the most part BBall games have been mediacore on the new generation consoles.

It seems that Basketball games are just hard to make. And across the board all these games don't have enough animations to really give that authenic feel of Basket Ball and how differently players of different playing style play.

But each year I get the game that I feel comes close to the look and feel. Apart of my frustration is that I honestly don't want game companies trying to make their games more alike unless its heading in the direction of realism.

To use ESPN football as an example again I enjoy the way the game potrays football and how it improved itself from last year with out getting Madden like game engine and gameplay wise. Now I can have two games that have great aspects of football in different ways.

I have heard people say the player models of Sega games move awkward or wrong, but is that compared real life players or EA games? Its hard to do but I try to not to compare games directly instead I compare them seperately to the real life sprts. Thats the only way I can give a game like Drive 2004 a chance I have to block out the other games or it'll be hard to appreciate the things it does do well.

Vc has proven that they listen to their customers way more then any other game developer. Especially with nfl2k4, and I know they listen to people for the nba game. Maybe I just don't see all the problems because I'm a football player and i just play basketball for fun but vc has changed the 2k series every year.

It probably has something to do with the fact that the average age of everyone here is about 14.

And if a big company like Sega, Microsoft or EA is getting their game ideas from a bunch of Junior High Schooler's, we're all in serious trouble.

                            Peace.

they probably don't listen i emailed VC about changing the name of NFL 2K,defensive hot routes, and other stuff it it all happened well most of it. Hell i think if team fever did 65% of what people said on this forum they would have the #1 game next year. You gotta give the gamers what THEY want not what just YOU think.

Vc has proven that they listen to their customers way more then any other game developer. Especially with nfl2k4, and I know they listen to people for the nba game. Maybe I just don't see all the problems because I'm a football player and i just play basketball for fun but vc has changed the 2k series every year.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)
