I think it already had an around the back pass. I think they revamped the passing system, but it doesn't look that great, IMHO. The framerate in the vids I've seen seems to really crawl at times. I hope all that's fixed. Yeah, I still believe ID 2004 will have the best movement out of all the games, and I know they fixed quite a few small things. They revamped the post game, supposedly. They improved the defensive and offensive AI, I think. More fouls, improved rebounding supposedly. Touched up the graphics a bit, the shot arcs are pretty good now too. Personally, I think they fixed what MATTERS in the game. And that's all I've wanted them to do. I'm concerned about the frame rate though. The passing system, too. Other than that, I'm pretty sure I'm picking this up when it comes out.Comment

Re: New Features?
They added a "true" touch passing feature which will let you pass the ball even before you catch
it, well not pass it but select the pass before you receive it.
I think this feature will improve the gameplay much more than Isomotion or 10 man mo-cap.
Imagine your on a 3 on one break, Kidd streaks down the middle with Jefferson and Martin filling
the wing. Kidd fires a pass to Jefferson going strong to the cup, just then Shaq rotates over to
Jefferson to swat his shot. Unknowing to Shaq YOU selected to throw a LOB to MARTIN before
the ball touched your hand. Slam Dunk.
That folks is not arcadey like dribbling for 6 seconds while your team curses you out then you miss
a wide open jump shot.Comment

Re: New Features?
I hope you're kidding. It may make the fastbreak more fluid and the ball movement might be faster, but the problem with the passing was it was TOO EASY to pass the ball inside the paint to get the easy 2. There were rarely any out of bounds passes which should happen quite often when throwing cross-court or trying to thread the needle (either out of bounds or the AI should pick the pass off).Comment

This is plain stupid too easy to pass! Compared to what game?
In Live03 and 2K3 you could pass in the air blindly to someone alway across the court with
very few turnovers, then if you were passing the ball to a player right in your face he would
bobble it or drop it.
Its much easier to score in the paint in real life, especially with great post players!!!!
It is way too easy to score off the dribble with Live03 and 2K3 and that is unrealistic, but
both of those games had bad post play 7 footers missing chip shots all day!!!!
Now with Isomotion and Freestyle everything YOU think scoring wont be EASY? You must be crazy!
Many times the post player gets fronted and doubled in ID03 guards even crowd the lane.
Those AND1 mix tapes have screwed the youths minds up when dribbling like a fool is seen as
better ball than making good passes and post play.Comment

Re: New Features?
Man, you really need to mind your manners. I didn't call you names, nor did I call your posts idiotic. Respect other people's opinions and you'll gain their respect. Right now, I'm forming a very low opinion of you just based on the way you answer.
In any case, 7 footers do miss chip shots. A LOT. In the NBA, depending on how good they are. I want the ID series to be a sim, so yes, I do believe it should represent this as well as the iso game better (i.e. less movement, more 3-seconds in the paint violations since there were barely ANY called in ID 2003, more defensive 3 seconds as well, and definitely more fouls since they were very rare too).
By the way, how old are you? claiming that "today's youth" only looks for fancy dribble moves? That's not even what I'm advocating here. I AM advocating that the player movements are too constant so even bad players can get their share of points/FG attempts. I'd like to see shot clock violations every once in a while. If you've even been here long on this board, you'd know I'm a BIG proponent for this game, and the movement in this game. That doesn't mean it's perfect.Comment
