Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Through nonconference play in my 4th year with Boise. Went 8-7 losing to all the teams I was supposed to lose to, and winning all the ones I was supposed to wins with a few exceptions. I lost to Jackson State in the season opener and Arkansas State (both first rounds of tournaments). I also pulled of a upset against USC and beat 12-0 #4 Vanderbilt to wrap up the nonconference season.

I just beat New Mexico State and Idaho to open up the WAC schedule. I beat Idaho by 53 points. Biggest win I've ever had by far. Usually I can't ever get over 30 on the cupcakes.

I'm also in line to get a 5 star JUCO Freshman center. I don't have any true centers on my starting lineup (PF, SF, SF, SG, PG). I'm also fighting it out with Idaho for a point guard who was Mr. Basketball in Idaho. He's 3 stars. Hopefully my blowout win against the Vandals shows him where his true destiny lies.

Just starting my legacy with Stetson. Playing the High school league right now with one team. Going to take them to a title. Undecided on what difficulty to play with once I get to the Stetson season.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Just about to start my 08-09 season with the Rams. I got 2 three star 7 footers. I got a 7'3" guy from Canada (68 rating) and a 7'1" (60 rating) guy from Africa. I got a 4 star PF from Texas (72 rating). I should have a deep team this year. I beefed up my non conference schedule. I added playing University of San Fran because I heard there court is one of the coolest in the game. Can't wait to play there.

BTW, Gonzaga won the tournament. Kind of weird, they beat Arkansas in the Finals.

Bout to start my Bobcats dynasty now that i have my first draft class in place.

Oh, I know that, but I was at least expecting a mid-major offer, and didn't get one. It was other small conferences like the Ohio Valley or the SoCon or the MEAC. I was already in the Big West, so it wouldn't have done any good to go to another small conference like that.

Anyway, I'm now at Eastern Michigan after the NIT season. It was either them or Idaho, and EMU is in a better recruiting area, so I chose them.

Interestingly enough, one of my players at Riverside transferred out of there and followed me to EMU, and another 3-star player from California I had been recruiting joined as a walkon and is now a starter at SF.

The starters are decent enough, but there are only 3 decent bench players, so I'm running with an 8-man rotation. I was running with only 7 for a few games when I lost a guy to injury, but he's back now, so we're back to 8.

I'm trying to recruit a couple of 4-star guys, but I'm not sure I'll sign them since I'm only listed at #2 for each of them.

Well I guess it's up to me again. Did another season at EMU. Finished middle of the pack and lost in the semifinals of the conference tourney. Don't remember my actual record. Something like 13-15. No postseason, of course.

I finally recruited my first 5-star player in this legacy, a JUCO FR SG. He's being redshirted this season since I have a bunch of SG's and he has a potential of B+, so hopefully he'll improve a fair bit by the time he graduates.

Team is up to an 81 overall with Team Unity in the 50's. I'm 8-4 going into conference play. Will probably finish that season up tomorrow.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Just finished up season 2 with LIU. Ended up 15-14 being the 2nd worst in my conference. I landed a nice 3* PG thats 6'4 (have a thing for big guards). Overall the season went well since we were really young and had 3 freshman in the starting lineup. speaking of the freshman they were all 3* with ratings of 67,67,68,69. My 6th man was the other freshman if you were wondering. All C potential.

Pretty satisfied with how it went even though I didnt make the conference tourny. Syracuse won the NCAA chip against Notre Dame.

And now the big spark of my legacy, guard Malcolm Grant from Villanova wants to play for me. After getting offers from small conference teams I have come to a decision to stay another 2 years so I can coach Malcolm.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

I am at the beginning of the sixth year. Started out with Princeton and stayed with them for all 3 years (and no the whole Penn glitch never happened to me my time there so I guess I got luckly). Only made the NCAA tournament my last year there and that was the first time I got offers from a mid major school. I jumped shipped even though I really didn't want to but went to Miami-Ohio since I am from Ohio. Now starting my third year with them.

Recap of the seasons so far:
                2007-08 with Princeton 11-17
                2008-09 with Princeton 14-16
2009-10 with Princeton 23-7 lost in Second Round of NCAA
2010-11 with Miami (OH) 22-10 won the Conf. Tourny to make the NCAA but lost to WVU in the first round
2011-12 with Miami (OH) 28-6 lost 3 conference games and had a better record than Buffalo but they were still ranked higher in the top 25 polls than me, but my team made it to the Sweet Sixteen.

Right now in my 2012-13 season I am currently 4-0 with wins over Cleveland State, #22 Gonzaga, @ Ohio State, and @ Xavier. Cleveland St. was horrible so I dominated them, and Gonzaga was rated like an 92 and snuck out a 79-70 victory against them on my homecourt. Ohio State was rated an 87 (my team right now is an 85) and won on a last second shot to win 78-76.

Xavier was another team who was rated 91 and was crushing them by like 29 points at half (due to shooting around 78 percent from the field), but in the second half they came storming back to poor shooting my me but the lead was too much as I held on to win 80-69. With one minute left the score was 70-66 me, but they miss all but one shot and i made all my foul shots except for one where I got the offensive rebound and made the layup and got fouled.

Starting lineup I have a senior PG and C. The rest are all freshman. I decided to redshirt my walk-on junior SG this year cause I want to move him to point next year since I don't have anyone else on that spot. Apparently I can't recruit point guards for some reason. While he is a walk-on he is my best deep shooter and already owns the NCAA record for 3pt % with 55 right now.

Two of my starting freshman are rated 77's with the other one a 75. Also have two other freshman's on the team who I am redshirting who are 75 and a world recruit who is a 68. Only reason why I have a world recruit is cause he is the first one I ever signed in my legacy.

Funny thing was when I left Princeton for Miami. It was basically the excat same team just younger and better overall. It was really freaky though. Both had a 7 foot guy on the team (Princeton he was a SO and a 61 overall at M-OH he was a junior who was a 74). Had them playing center and didn't have any power forwards on my team who was good enough to play so I played with another center there. Princeton had a Senior who was a 70 overall and at MOH I had a 75 sophomore. Height was pretty much the same for the rest of the positions and either I was the same year at both schools or the guy was just one year behind but just had a lot better rating.

One of my freshman this year, remember its only 4 games in, is a beast for me. His name is Oly King and he is a 6'7" small forward. He is averaging 16.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 9.5 assists this year so far.

Also I played on MOP since the first time I started my legacy and currently am 102-56 as a coach which I don't think is too bad.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

I decided to resurrect this thread, post patch, to mention my best win ever.

I'm SD State hosting Western Michigan who is rated 8 points higher than me overall. Pre-patch I never beat a team who was rated that much higher than me. Never came close in fact.

This game seemed like it was going to be more of the same, as I could not buy a basket. My best shooter(SG) was getting some great looks but could not put them down, and my PG was getting to the rim and making some spectacular moves, but couldn't finish any of them. My bigs were just worthless. The fans were booing and groaning every time a big missed a bunny.

WM wasn't setting the nets on fire either so I was able to stay withing 10 the whole game.

                  So here's the endgame:

                  I hit a 3 to get within three with about 1:30 - 56-53

CPU hits one of two free throws with about :55 left.- 57-53

My point guard, who was 1-11 before this shot, drains a 3, :45 left- 57-56

CPU tries a ill advised length of the court pass to beat the press, the ball sails out of bounds, My ball :45 left- 57-56

While trying to look for my 2 guard coming off a pick, my PG gets picked clean with about :15 left. I foul right away they're in the one and one.

They miss the first but get the rebound, I foul again, 1 and 1, 11 ticks left.

They miss and get the rebound again, their PF quickly pass to their PG on the side line, I don't want to use my PG to foul because one more and he's gone, so I try to switch to someone else, when I switch, my PG goes for the steal on his own, knocks it loose, jumps out of bounds to save the ball and flips it back to my SG at the top of the key.

I start racing down the court, thinking I'm down 3, getting ready to pull up for the game tying trey, but then I glance at the score and realize I'm only down one. I say "oh, ****, and attack the rim with the defender a half step behind me just trying to get the foul.

Instead of going for the layup like he normally does my SG rises up and crushes one on the opposing SF, 1 second left, they miss the 70 foot heave, I win 58-57.

I shot 33% for the game.

I just started a post patch Career Legacy as Charleston Southern and lost to Tulane 87-86 after Johnny Mayhane, who had 34 points on the night, hit a game winning 15 footer with .8 seconds left.

This was after I was down 37-11 in the first half, and up 68-54 in the second.

                      I love/hate this game.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

I've just started a career legacy with the Western Illinois Leathernecks. I'm starting on All-Conference difficulty. Currently I'm just working through the ABL, trying to find some diamonds in the rough. Found a really effective 3-star centre that I'd love to get, but it'll be tough. One thing I have noticed already in the ABL, boy there is a difference between the star players (All Americans/5-star players) & the rest. It's just like night & day. Can't wait to work my way up to bigger school to have a chance to get 4 & 5-star recruits. I know many of you guys don't like playing ABL, but whilst timely, I don't mind it, as it will help me get to know some of the new recruits nationwide coming through. I'll keep you all updated on how it goes.

After 3 years and 2 Tournament Berths with Winston Salem State, I got hired in the MAC to coach the 9-20 Ohio Bobcats. Along with the help of an overall 74 JC signing, who was signed in the in-season before I arrived, we improved to a 14-16 record.

Our team lost 3 seniors, only one of whom contributed and will be replaced by the new talented recruits. All my starters last year were Sophomores except for my Center who was a senior, but was my leading scorer,

                          The sky's the limit.

Spent 2 years at Texas State both were winning seasons..moved onto Boise State spent 3 years there..I made it to the NIT semi's, then the 2nd round of the NCAA's and the last year the Final 4. I then moved onto Mizzou 1st year 20 wins 2nd season 9 wins and my first losing season. I lost 6 seniors so I brought in 3 juco 5 star players and two 3 star Mr. BB's and another player. This next sseason should be fun.

Just finished up season 1 with Morehead State. Ended up 14-14 being 3rd in my conference. I landed a 3* JC So. PF and a 2* SG. Overall the season went well since it was my first season.

Pretty satisfied with how it went even though I was swept by Eastern Kentucky twice in the regular season lost to them in the quarterfinals of the conference tourny. Michigan State won the NCAA title.

Looking to improve in Season 2 and possibly a NCAA (or NIT berth).
