After a month long hiatus due to finals and graduation I'm finally getting back into my Eastern Washington legacy. Year one I went 22-10, won the Big Sky Tournament and drew a 13 seed against Kentucky. Needless to say it was a quick first round exit. Year two everyone minus two reserves returned to the team and we're currently sitting at 3-1 with Wake Forest waiting on us in the first round of the Great Alaska Shootout.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Won my 4th NC with UConn in 5 seasons and won my first POTY award ever with my center...Kanji.
I thought I recruited the guy but from this forum I realized the W meant he was a walk-on. Once I switched to a 1-3-1 the 7'2 guy become a beast. His senior year he averaged 23.7 PPG, 7.5 RPG, and 3.4 BPG. He was voted Big Man of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year as well.
My fab five freshman all played about 10-12 minutes a game and are going to be good. My PG was a 1st team AA though and will be a senior...and my best freshman and most explosive player is also a PG...so I might be moving the later to SG. I've never had a player that can take people off the dribble like this guy. Should be a fun upcoming season.- The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Scrapped my Duquesne legacy after 5 seasons . Started over with U of Ohio. Lost terribly my first game. I played New Mexico State and got beat 74-46, shooting only 36% from the field. My starting lineup consists of 3 SR and 2 JR so I'm going to have to recruit really hard my first 2 years.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Well I'm obviously chose Univ. of Buffalo for my legacy and I'm going into my 5th season playing as them. Sadly, no tournament bids, no NIT nothing really to hold are heads high for. (42 wins in 5 season) no need to count the losses lol I have had to start building my team through recruiting. i was able to lick up JoCo to try to build my program around Picking up one last year who is a Senior this year, (De'Angelo Klein -5 star) and one this year who is a Sophomore this year (Chas Ebede- 4star). My Senior start was able to be nominated to the 1st team all conference team, only playing 1 tear of D1 Basketball. Considering I did not play any games in my 1st 5 years I have a great feeling about this year, winner a conference tittle, or maybe a spot in one of the tourneys Ill keep you posted and update with my progression. -GO BLUE!!!!DAY BY DAY
We get BETTER and BETTER
Till we CAN'T be BEAT
WON'T BE BEAT

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Im in my 26th season(closed legacy) at NIU(Northern Illinois,MAC) and my 32nd overall. My coach is Rod Strickland(Kentucky assistant coach)he is now 67 years old and has had a pretty solid career. We've made the Final Four 7 times and won 3 NC(two back to back).Ive won the MAC 14 straight years and am finishin up i think my last season with Coach Strick.
Ive had a ton of offers from all the major powerhouses from Duke,Kentucky,North Carolina,Ohio State basically every big job that came available but for some reason i couldnt leave NIU.Watchin the gym go from about 8 people to now lookin and soudin like Cameron indoor and haven 5 star recruits puttin me in their top five every year i just didnt see no reason too.
Anyways im in my last season and its kinda sad closin this career out.Its been my longest yet and most succesful from winning to recruiting but its time.Right now we're sittin at 7-2, #9 in the country with big games comin up with our in state rival now #14 Illinois and #4 Ohio state, the back to back Champs, who knocked us out in the elite 8 the year before.
I have all my starters back but one from last years team and two of my guys are top picks(92 PG 17ppg 6ast and 90 PF 25ppg 9rbd)with a loaded bench haven the #1 recruitin class for the first time two years straight. So hopefully i can send coach Stick out with a bang and end his 6 year drought without reachin the final four.Shouldnt be a problem as this is prob the most stacked team ive ever had in any of my legacys. My SF,C, and SG are all projected lottery and my sixth man Freshmen SF(86 overall #1 #1 in his class)is also projected in the lottery.
But thats why i love this game who knows whatll happen.Just cause your stacked doesnt mean jack.lol Fixin to play Illinois in Coach Stricks last gm vs his biggest rival over the past 20 years.Games at home but Illinois is on a roll heres hopen we can pull out the W and give Coach Strick the series lead.As of now its tied 10-10(Im a dufus i write down everything on a notepad from season leaders to coachin changes to records against rivals)and its lookin to be a showdown. Here we go........Last edited by Pitfighter87; 06-22-2011, 12:14 AM.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Just finished my 2nd season with Ohio U. Went 14-15 both seasons. Had offers from Alcorn St. , Troy, and Howard in the off-season. Yuck, lol. Signed a 6'7 215 , 4 star PF in-season. Had been recruiting him as a Junior. Also signed a 6'4, 186 lb, 3 star shooting guard . Hopefully he grows a few more inches because a 6'7 PF at a mid-major school is going to have trouble on defense. I have three more scholarships that I can use. I don't have a C rated above a 59 so that is the position i will target next. The 2nd season included several blowout losses, including a 46-75 loss to U of Buffalo who ended up being 5-25 on the season.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
In the 10th season of my legacy and 3rd season at Wake Forest, and we sit squarely on the bubble at 14-10 with 5 games left in the ACC season.
Our resume:
Record - 14-10 (5-6 in ACC)
RPI - 38
Last 10 - 4-6
vs Top 25 - 2-6 (doesn't take into account that we beat #11 Depaul earlier in the season when they weren't top 25)
vs RPI Top 50 - 5-10
vs RPI Top 100 - 9-10
Key Wins - vs Georgia Tech (was #1 at the time), at NC State, vs Depaul (Neutral Site - Hawaii Invitational)
Key Losses - at Oregon, vs UCLA (Neutral Site - Hawaii Invitational), vs Clemson (2)
Right now we are projected as in as an 11 seed, but things could change for the better or the worse depending on how we finish the season.

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
I feel like starting one now lol, a more serious one. So, I download the 2010-2011 rosters made by Raider... and now I'll pick my team. Trying to pick a team closest to where I live, and the one that stands out to me the most is Western Illinois, so I'll take that.
Now, one little side note, I run CPU vs. CPU, so I won't be playing any of these games lol.
Now, onto my coaching profile. First priority, potential. Second, defense. Offense playbook, motion. Primary defense, 1-3-1. Secondary, 1-3-1 matchup. Pressure defense, 2-1-2. Inbounds press, 2-2-1 zone press. Press frequency, we'll start out with trying the "always" option. Bench depth, 8. Offensive tempo, 40. Pressure, 60 (I'm in favor of tight pressure). Def RBND-Fast Break, 60 (favoring the fast break). TRANS DEF-Crash Boards, 40 (in favor of trans def).
First things first, the number one team in the pre-season polls is: North Carolina Tar Heels. Here is my starting 5 for Western Illinois:
PG- Ceola Clark (77 overall with B- potential)
SG- Matt Lander (60 overall with NO potential whatsoever...)
SF- Kaimarr Price (60 overall, also with NO potential whatsoever)
PF- Emeka Okafor Jr. (61 overall, you guessed it, no potential)
C- David Gebru (57 overall, I think that speaks for itself)
Obviously, you all see what I have to work with here... The first three games I have are: a roadtrip to Moorehead State, next we invite in Eastern Illinois, and then we head back out on the road to take on Missouri.
I am not looking forward to that game against Missouri, but maybe my team will surprise me.James Naismith visited an Indiana basketball state finals game along with 15,000 screaming fans and later wrote, that while it was invented in Massachusetts, "basketball really had its origin in Indiana, which remains the center of the sport."Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
FIRST YEAR.
HOP Skill Level. Since they had never made the NCAA Tournament, in career mode, I decided to take the job at Stony Brook.
(11 seed)Stony Brook 22-12, next game. vs. 5seed Nevada to go to Final Four.
Started season 1-11 vs loaded schedule, near upsets of UNC, Kansas, Duke, Florida, and did beat Pitt..all on the road.
Freshman Kyle Wright #4 has been sensational. Ricky Lucas has been big too, as I have average both of these players in the high double figures. We get outrebounded by 15 plus every game, to combat that our 2-2-1 box press is exceptional and we force around 15-20 turnovers a game! Our man 2 man has gotten better over the year as all players have equally developed as all players including a senior walk on Soloman Bamiro get time in Coach SOHIOballer's system. There is only ONE job Ill consider leaving the Brook for.. my favorite team.. The Butler Bulldogs! If I can maintain success, I would like to build Brook into a power, and land big time recruits. I did not expect this success in the NCAA tournament my first year. A few bounces either way vs. Maryland or Va. Tech and I'm already back home in Stony Brook, NY recruiting.
Tournament Trail.
11 Stony Brook over 6 Gonzaga 82-51
11 Stony Brook over 14 Maryland 56-52
11 Stony Brook over 2 Va. Tech 46-44
11 Stony Brook over v 5 Nevada 48-36
11 Stony Brook over 2 Wisconsin 76-45
2 Texas A&M over 11 Stony Brook 59-56 National Chamiponship Game ;(
25-13 Stony Brook National Runner-up
Final Four?Last edited by SOHIOBaller; 08-13-2011, 11:22 PM.Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Alright, well 3 games into my season with Western Illinois, and things are actually looking interesting. Let's get to the recaps.
So, first game of the year we travel to Morehead State. A big game from Ceola Clark with 21 points, 4 assists, 3 steals, and even 1 block. Emeka Okafor Jr put up a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. At halftime, we had a strong lead 38-27, and continued to outscore the opposition, finally picking up a 72-58 win.
Second game of the year, our first home game of the year, and it's against Eastern Illinois. Clark is only able to put up 13 points, but managed to pick up 8 assists. Kaimarr Price and and David Gebru both picked up double-doubles in this game. We were only able to take a 3-point lead into the half, but we came out strong in the 2nd half. The final score was 74-61 in favor of the Leathernecks.
And our third game of the year, a road trip to take on Missouri. I was really worried about this game coming in, but my team suprised me. We took a 32-24 lead into halftime. We contined to hold that lead in the 2nd half, but Missouri made their comeback. They outscored us 44-27 in the 2nd half, and Missouri saved themselves humiliation by winning 68-59. Ceola Clark had 22 points, David Gebru picked up another double-double, but the poor shooting by the Leathernecks led them to defeat.
Our next three games are going to be crazy. First, we have a home game against UT-Pan American, next we have a road game against UT-Arlington, and finally, we have a ROAD game against the our first opponent in this three game stretch. That's right, one week we play UT-Pan American at our place, and the next week, we travel to their place! This ought to be interesting to watch.
National News: Kansas is the new #1 team for now, sitting on a 5-0 record. Playing 5 straight games at "The Phog", it's rather apparent as to HOW they got to 5-0... Duke sits behing them at 4-2, their two losses coming against Illinois and Wisconsin.
Updates to come after I watch the next 3 games.James Naismith visited an Indiana basketball state finals game along with 15,000 screaming fans and later wrote, that while it was invented in Massachusetts, "basketball really had its origin in Indiana, which remains the center of the sport."Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Alright, 6 games into the season and things are still looking good. We invited in UT-Pan American into our home, and showed them how to play basketball. UT-Pan American had really only one key player to watch out for, their shooting guard. He picked up 17 points in the game, but it wasn't good enough for a win as Western Illinois won 71-56.
Next game, UT-Arlington. Again, these guys really only had one really good guy, and it was also their shooting guard. Western Illinois easily outplayed these guys from beginning to end and won 69-52.
Rematch time! This time, we went on the road to play in UT-Pan American's home. UT-Pan American played a much harder game, but luckily Western Illinois was able to match their fire power. Again, Western Illinois taught these guys how to play basketball, and won easily 68-52.
Sitting at 5-1, what's next for the Western Illinois Leathernecks? Well, we take a dip into conference action as we invite in IUPUI. After this game, we get a nice week off to pay close attention to our next opponent before traveling there, to UCLA. And after the game with UCLA, we head back home for a game against Kennesaw State.
A little more about this matchup with UCLA. Currently, UCLA is #11, 5-2, they average 71 points per game. Their only two losses came on the road, once at Maryland, and once at Michigan State (both losses coming by one point). Before they get to playing us, they have #16 Texas, unranked Davidson, and unranked Idaho State. I guess the only thing that REALLY stood out to me is the confidence their players have, and the amount of game experience some of their players have. This is going to be a good test for my guys. But, first things first, let's pick up a conference win, and then focus on our next 2 games.
More updates to come.James Naismith visited an Indiana basketball state finals game along with 15,000 screaming fans and later wrote, that while it was invented in Massachusetts, "basketball really had its origin in Indiana, which remains the center of the sport."Comment

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!
Well, the season is looking very nice right now for the Western Illinois Leathernecks. They currently sit at 7-2 with tons of conference action ahead of them. Let's get to the recaps of the last 3 games.
So, we played our first conference game of the year against the IUPUI Jaguars. Ceola Clark played a great game scoring 20 points. David Gebru picked up yet another double-double with 15 points and 18 rebounds. The Leathernecks easily won 62-45.
Up next, one of the games I was most worried about, our matchup with #9 UCLA. My team, however, surprised me by playing a great game of basketball on the road. Ceola Clark put up 28 points, and the Leathernecks won 71-61!
And finally, a game against an evenly matched Kennesaw State. I'm not sure what happend in this game, but my team just didn't play like they had in the previous games. The Leathernecks fell to Kennesaw State 61-52.
Up next, a week off followed by three straight conference games: @ S. Utah, @ UMKC, vs. SD State.James Naismith visited an Indiana basketball state finals game along with 15,000 screaming fans and later wrote, that while it was invented in Massachusetts, "basketball really had its origin in Indiana, which remains the center of the sport."Comment
