Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Beat Eastern Carolina, facing #2 Notre Dame in the Elite Eight. And here it is, this might have been my greatest half-time adjustment of all-time. We go into half time down 45-42. I bench my starting PG, and play Shakur at PG to start the half, move Weaver(SF) down to SG, and insert last years starting PF in at SF. What ensued was the greatest run of basketball, I have ever seen. In the following fifteen minutes, we were both defensively stout, as well as ruthlessly efficient on offense. Shakur shut down the opposing PG, causing 7 turnovers in the second half alone. I turned up the offensive tempo(from 5 to 40), and set plays for my freshman center(Little) to score. He answered in a big way finishing with 24 points, 15 rebounds and 5 blocks. The game ended Idaho 98, Notre Dame 78. Words cannot even describe the awesome that it was to see the team completely turn the game around in the second half.

My turn to hog the thread!

Secured a Final Four victory against UNLV, then lost unceremoniously to Indiana, bringing me back down to Earth and more focused on recruiting talent than ever before, here's my second class of incoming Freshman!

What year of your legacy are you in to be hauling in a class like that at Idaho? And I'm sure there are more than a few improper benefits being handed out... Good luck!

Won the National Championship in my fifth year at FSU
I brought the majority of my team back too plus a couple top recruits = I'm right there to go back to back.

Recruit the unrecruited, the five star PF had three schools after him, none above 50%, so I made him #1, I lucked out as well, as his priorities were #1 Getting Playing Time(only one other PF on the roster), #2 Play for a Winner(coming off a 20-win season), #3 Feeling Wanted(#1 on recruiting list) and he was not concerned with playing a big program.

The four stars were similar, two of them were from NY, and had only, MAAC schools going after them. One was a world recruit(the unranked C), and after Oregon swooped in on the five star PG I wanted, I picked up the four star PGs (both from Cali) in the off-season as recruiting leftovers.

In all reality, I was just supremely lucky, 9/10 recruiting DOES not go that well. But I've been lucky so far at Idaho.

I didn't know there was a "play for a winner" priority.

If I win that game against Dartmouth then I will be tied for first in the conference. I will then have to play Cornell in the tiebreaker if I beat Dartmouth. There is also a possibility of having to beat Princeton and/or Cornell to win the conference. It sounds confusing but I layed out the possibilities in my legacy blog (I guess it's a blog). You can check it out by clicking on the link in the sig and skipping to the last few pages.
I just won the conference championship! I used a 17-0 run with 13 minutes left in the game to run away with the game. The crazy thing was I didn't really make any changes to the game. My guys just started doing everything right and it was awesome to watch (I do coach mode). Now for selection sunday!

Re: How is YOUR Career Legacy going?!?!

Well I just got run out of town by Connecticut. They were one of the best teams I've played in this legacy. That's what I get for being a 16 seed I guess.

Now I've got recruiting and I'm currently trying to get a couple 4* recruits. One is a PF who is 6'11 250 lbs and is insanely athletic with a nasty mid-range. Only thing is he only has a C hustle but everything else is really good. I'm fairly confident I can grab him but not sure I will be able to grab the other recruit. He is a SG who is an overall good player but isn't great at anything. Pete Carril would be in love with a player like him.

I have 3 scholarships overall and am seriously looking at those two 4* and a 3* PF. There also is a 2* SG who is actually a fairly decent player that I may go for if need be. I might leave a scholarship open in hopes of a transfer. I'm not in a real need to get a player this year since I only lose two players who are both easily replaceable.

EDIT: I snagged the 4* recruit and he is an absolute beast. He grew to be 7'0 260 lbs. and he is extremely athletic. It won't even be fair for the other teams.

Had the #1 overall seed. Was 31-0 (one of the first times I've been undefeated throughout a season by simming), but in the conference championship game my star center (who was a senior) messed up his knee and missed the whole tournament I have a good backup center so it wasn't a huge loss, until my SR SG also got injured and I ended losing in the elite 8 and my record was 34-1.
I brought in the #1 recruiting class (including the #1 guy who's overall is 93!) and I expect to be right there this year again. I've built a dynasty at FSU, but whenever that UK job opens I'm leaving the dynasty. My last five years has been, 2 national championships, a final four, and 2 elite eights. I am 158-27 in these years.

Just curious..why leave FSU then? Sounds like your starting a mini dynasty already?

Kentucky is my favorite college team, that is why. I don't think I've ever coached at my second favorite school (Xavier) either. I think my next legacy mode is I'll try to build a dynasty there.
