That it does, good thing the gameplay and legacy mode are exponentially better than NBA2K9."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: This game owns my soul.
Maybe it was a case of "just on of those games"...I remember IRL I think it was Purdue vs Penn St where both teams shot under 30%...Last edited by Jukeman; 03-29-2009, 12:33 PM.Comment

Somehow I think this thread will stay active for a while as this is the best game that I have played. I can't get over the depth of this game. and plan on sticking with this game next season.Gaming hard since 1988

Re: This game owns my soul.
I just played the most realistic game every on any video game, on any console. I was playing VCU vs George Mason as VCU and I went into half time down 34-28 with Eric Maynor hitting a three right before half. The second half, on my very first possession, I hit a three with Eric Maynor to cut the game to 3. I knew I still had a chance if I just fought to the end. After a while, I was still down until I went on an 8 to 0 run with about 3 minutes to go. In the last 30 seconds, I was up 5 and I was forced to go to the line with Maynor. I missed the first free throw in the one and one and George Mason hit a three to cut it to 2. Of course I was fouled again and I was still in the 1 and one and this time, Maynor hit both. the very next inbound, George Mason drove up the court and hit a game tying three with 11 ticks to go. I then in bounded the ball to Maynor and I pulled up a 2 with about 4 seconds to go. It went up, but not in and fortunately I got an offensive rebound and called a timeout with exactly 1 second to go. I inbounded the ball to Maynor and I pulled up a quick three and banked it in for the Buzzer Beating, winning shot.Comment

Re: This game owns my soul.
I still can't see how real hardcore college b ball fans can even think that the crap that EA has put out is better than 2k8. I know there are some game play issues but the depth of the dynasty and the little things makes this game the best hands down.Comment

Re: This game owns my soul.
Just re-posting this from my other thread:
I started one at UGA and went 18-12 my first year and lost in the 2nd round of the NIT - that was a tough year and there wasn't a ton of talent. That offseason I was able to pull in a 7'1", 4* center to help shore up my interior defense and a 4* SG that averaged 19 ppg his first year. That second year I went 23-9 and got a 6 seed in the NCAA tourney, getting past 11th-seeded Creighton in the 1st round but lost to the 3 seed Syracuse in the 2nd. That success landed me a 5*, MrBB in Georgia PG. His first year, he averaged 15 and 8 apg and helped form the best backcourt in the SEC, leading me to an SEC Tourney title, a 3 seed in the tournament and an Elite Eight berth, where I lost to Louisville.
After that season I had an extensive list of offers -- Oklahoma, Washington, Texas, Clemson, and Villanova were most enticing. I ended up at Texas due to the talent they had on hand already (they had been an Elite Eight team the year before) and the recruiting base in that state. My first year at Texas I went 32-5 and lost in a National Semifinal to Michigan State, but the next year, with 5 returning starters and a 5* SF recruit, I beat Connecticut by 4 for the National Championship.
In my third year at Texas, I'm fairly young, with 2 senior starters, 2 freshmen, and a sophomore. But, I got 2 McDonald's AA's and my bench is solid, so I'm expecting another deep tourney run this year. Texas is a fun program.Comment

Re: This game owns my soul.
Wow just by chance I click on this forum and now I'm going to buy it tomorrow.
Haven't touched my 360 in about a good 4 months or more.
Can I get all the patches and stuff even if I don't have a gold xbox live account anymore?
I'm assuming I can't get file share without the gold account for names or whatever? I'm honestly a noob when it comes to that stuff now.. like I said I haven't played a game in so long I don't even know how live really works anymore.Comment
