    I'm loving this again!

jumped back into my Lafayette closed legacy, second season, just moved to 10-10

just got to 10-10, my point guard Andrew Brown is a baest. 6'1", unathletic, but his midrange + 3pt + lay up rating are incredible for a small conference. he's putting up 20 pts and 3 assists on the season, probably closer to 25 and 5 in conference play

Yea, I dont think this game is getting removed from the #1 spot on my play list anytime soon...Not even when Madden, fight night or any other game come out....I love college sports too much and dont think I will get this same feelin from NCAA Football 10....NCAA Basketball 10 is still in the air....

I haven't played this game in months and it's time to dust it off and play it again. This has to be the best sports game to come out in a long time.

My only dilemma is what team i'll pick for my closed dynasty. I'm thinking of going Ivy League. Anyone have any suggestions?

I really like using Elon. IMO, they seem to be the best closed dynasty team to pick from, I could be wrong though. They're definitely my favorites to pick.

              i love this game man

closed legacy, started at northern Colorado, got them to a few NITs and an NCAA. job offer to Toledo, i ended up staying there for about 15 years. a bunch of 20+ win seasons, never got quite over the hump, except one year i coached an all-american and went to an elite 8, other than that it was a bunch of first and second round losses.

job offer to a sub .500 north carolina team. i turned them around pretty fast. NIT first year, second round of NCCAs next year, first round next year, sweet 16 after that.

this year though, my recruiting is finally showing. i got this 7'3" freshman who was a 4*, he's a beast. i also have 5 redshirted freshmen who were all 4* and 5*, should be an exciting year next year since i'll lose a ton of seniors.

we began the season unranked, but anything below the sweet 16 this season has to be a failure. all my starters are juniors and seniors, unity is pretty good, and i have slashers, shooters, and great post play. i really feel like i could play this team to a final four, with only an 89 overall rating.

Well this topic has persuaded me to get the game. Had to ship it in from the US so it'll take a while getting here.

Haven't played a basketball game for about 10 years so I might be a bit rusty!

Re: This game owns my soul.

Well I've already decided that I'm not even getting NCAA Football 10 and NCAA Basketball sucked last year, so I'm set for another year with CH2K8.

Just started a new legacy last night. My first open legacy, but I started with the Campbell Camels, so I'm still playing the small-time schools. I started my coach with all C+ ratings also to make things more challenging.

I simmed the first two seasons and then edited one of my new recruits (who's a freshman starter) to be "me" (changed the name and appearance, but left ratings the same so as not to make it too easy), and I've been using Player Lock as "myself" to roleplay my "career" as a "player". Whenever I'm out of the game, I run the game in CPU vs. CPU mode until I am back in the game. I won't play as a scrub...

I've also noticed that the recruiting seems to be more challenging as well during Open Legacy mode. I'm really struggling to sign anything but 1* and 2* recruits as Campbell, as it should be. I did manage to have a good recruiting year though and signed three 3* recruits after my second season. Not only do I now have "me" starting at SG, but I edited the other two freshman to be two of my best friends (again, changing only appearance and names and leaving ratings alone).

The key is to focus on in-state recruits for the most part since you only have a limited number of recruiting points each week, and scouting games or in-home visits can really chew your points up.

I've never done a legacy this way, but so far I like it. All three recruits are now starting as true freshmen (including "me"). It'll be interesting to see what kind of stats we can put up during our "careers".
Once upon a time, I had a lovely signature. Then it died. The end.

Re: This game owns my soul.

I'm hooked on this game once again. Been playing my Wright State dynasty a lot lately. I'm now 11-7 in my second season, and have had a lot of things change from season one to season two.

I benched my senior PG for my back up John David Gardner about 15 games into the season. He's been a very pleasent suprise this year, being able to score and create for himself while distributing the ball pretty well.

My sophmore SG was on the All Horizon League Freshman team(I think that's what it's called) last year coming off the bench. He is still coming off the bench because I have a great SG starting in front of him, but he has struggled pretty badly this year.

After my two starting big men graduated last year I had to start this season with a freshman and sophmore at those spots. My sophmore power forward, Cooper Land, isn't much of a power forward. He's more of a shooter and not a post player, but he's my best option there so I can't do much for this season. My freshman center has been pretty good, averaging about 9 ppg and 6 or 7 rpg.

I've had a pleasant suprise from my sophmore SF who sat out the first year because of transfering. He's been a nice scorer off the bench, and a big key to my success.

The thing about this game is that it doesn't get old to me, and dynasty mode keeps me very interested. I love that I can't go out and recruit great talent easily. I probably won't get a 4* anytime soon and it doesn't bother me. I obviously try to get the best talent I can, but it's hard when those big schools come in and push you away. I actually had LSU come in and try to take away a 3* power forward from me but luckily they dropped out(must have found someone else), and I now have him all but signed.

Started At North Florida for two years then moved out west to Pacific. Stayed with them for two years and won 1 championship.
After that, got a job offer to coach ad San Diego State. Took that and stayed for 3 years. Now I have a coaching job a UConn and been loving it out there. My team is stacked with all 5 starters 84+ overall rating. One of the best three point shooting teams in the nation. look up my legacy on 2k share called something like "UConn 2021 stacked rated 94 overall"

I've been continuing my dynasty that I started last week, and I got through a few more seasons over the weekend. I left Campbell after two seasons when I was offered the job at Arkansas State in the Sun Belt Conference.

I'm now in my third season at ASU and it's going alright so far. No tournament appearances yet, but I've had two winning seasons and decent recruiting classes (my first 4* recruit in this legacy), and the team is improving every year. We're now up to an 83 or 84 overall rating, and my coach is now a B overall (started at C+).

I'm extremely late to this party, and haven't even completed one full season in my open legacy (Texas State), but I'm completely hooked. I seriously can see myself playing this game for at least 5 years. I tend to hold onto games and not upgrade if I like them. I mean, I played March Madness 2003 until I got my PS3 last December, so that may serve as evidence that I'm serious. I find myself watching the College Hoops Tonight Shows every time they are on in my schedule. I get so wrapped up in it I can't help it. The team at 2K really nailed it with presentation, and most of all gameplay. This game is near perfect. The only thing it lacks is NBA 2k9's graphics.

Just started playing my Wake legacy again. I'm in YR4 right and ranked #8.

YR 1 - 13-15 (Missed the NIT but had a late season win over Duke that helped my teams confidence)

YR 2 - Lost in the Final Four to eventual Nat'l Champ Louisville.

YR 3 - Lost in the Elite 8 to Washington.

This is my best team with the following starting lineup:

PG - Jeff Teague (Not the scorer he was in real life but does everything well)

SG - CJ Harris (Has a nice lefty stroke but the rest of the team hides his weaknesses)

SF - Al Aminu (Mr. Everything for us. Can handle, shoot enough from the outside to make teams honest, rebound, and finish strong)

PF - James Johnson (Option #2 and 4 yr starter. Can run the floor, handle the ball, and bang with most bigs)

C - Tony Woods (Shot blocker, rebounder, and occassional scorer)

Another season done yesterday. Still at Arkansas State, and am slowly building them into the powerhouse of the Sun Belt. I finally made the NCAA Tournament after a 23-6 record with the regular season and SB Tournament championships.

Ended up as the #7 seed in the South region, playing Tennessee in the first round. We had played them the previous season at their place and got smoked, so I really didn't want to play them in the tournament.

We started out well in the game, building a double-digit lead, and held it through the first half and into the second half. But then we started missing shots and turning the ball over, and UT managed to tie it at the buzzer to send the game into OT. We managed to pull out the victory in OT and moved on to the second round against #2 seed UConn.

UConn, rated 97 overall (we were 83), had some insane ratings. Even some of their bench players were better than our best starter, and they played like it. They jumped out to a quick 9-0 lead on three ungodly beyond-NBA threes, and I called a quick timeout. Slowly but surely we fought our way back into the game with some pressure defense and patience on offense, and were only down 1 at the half.

In the second half, we played them even through the first 10 minutes, and managed to actually have a lead on them for a little while. Then the wheels fell off. Suddenly, we couldn't hit any shots, and they couldn't miss, and we were throwing the ball away. I kept calling timeouts, but it didn't do any good.

We ended up losing by 20, but the game was closer than that. If it was only a 30 minute game, we would have won.
Once upon a time, I had a lovely signature. Then it died. The end.

Sounds like Villanova/American from the tourney this year, except American actually had a 10 point lead at half.
