One more question, is there rosters for PS3 from the 09-10 season?

I have no doubt you can find them on 2K share.

I finally got my CH 2K8 yesterday and after playing just one game, I can say that it owns my soul. After finding some 09-10 rosters I like and downloading the profile with everything unlocked, I played LSU with Oklahoma State at the New Orleans Arena (just because you can't do that on NCAA Basketball). My terrible defense in the first half led to a nine point lead by LSU at halftime, but I came back to win 84-79 in OT (I missed a free throw to go up four, then Bo Spencer made a three with 0.6 to send it to OT).

            Awesome
Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.

We are in the process of redoing everything in 2k8 (Xbox 360) and making it available free download

I am so happy to play this game right now though. Best basketball game I have ever played.

We just need the NBA game to at least get close. And they have been. I have a great feeling 2K11 will slay them all.
Nah 2k11 is same old same old. 2k8 was a great year for 2k control, after that they regressed.

2k11 is way clunkier than college hoops 2k8 when it comes to iso-motion. Of course, I am using speed edits on college hoops so maybe that makes a difference.

But 2k11 has better AI by far, obviously...

My first year of recruiting and I already hate FAU, it's like I'm doing their recruiting for them. I set up my target list and as soon as I figure out who to offer scholarships to, FAU jumps in a notch above me on the recruits interest level and steals them away.

The real reason I wanted to comment though was a recruit comparison and why scouting matters. In year 2 with FIU I was pursuing a 4* pg from California that was flying way under the radar. He was rated as the 50th best overall prospect, but my scouting reports were telling me he was overrated. I needed a pg so I offered him anyway...

Meanwhile I needed a pf to start, and another pf for depth, the only one I had on my roster was a 65 overall walk on who actually started the previous year (the team was bad). Anyway, all my pf targets signed elsewhere in the offseason and I was sent scrambling. On the very last day I noticed a 2* pf that was rated 490 overall. Usually it's a good sign when a 2* kid is rated top 500. The scouting report said he was way underrated, so I sent him an offer and he accepted.

This is why scouting is so important... that 4* pg and the 2* pf both came in as 70 overall freshman. The scouts nailed it.

I just wanted to add an update to those players I had recruited since they both just graduated in my legacy.

4 star pg Pearson Skipworth: 70 OVR rating as freshman, graduated in 4 years rated 80. Career numbers: 36 starts, 39% FG shooter, 35% from three, 617 points, 327 assists.

2 star pf Alec Palmer: 70 OVR as freshman, graduated in 4 years rated 74. Career numbers: 33 starts (all as freshman), 43% FG shooter, 830 points, 462 rebounds, 105 blocks.

Ratings wise Skipworth ended up as the better player due to a significantly higher potential rating, but statistically Palmer seems to have had the better career. It's cool to see how it all played out but I'm realizing I never edited their tendencies to better suit their abilities.

Re: This game owns my soul.

I started another open legacy with Valparaiso...wanted to try an open legacy so I can edit some of the incoming HS All Americans (using 09-10 rosters). Simmed most of the season, got through the conference tournament and made it in as a 13 seed. Had Georgetown as my first game, and they started shredding me. Monroe was tearing it up down low, and I figured it would be over quickly. But I started getting some stops, and lo and behold, started hitting from 3. My SG (Wood) scored 43 points, the most I've ever scored with one player in this game. He was on fire, and I just kept feeding him. I pulled out to a large (16 point?) lead in the 2nd half, and then here comes Gtown. Furious comeback in the last 3 minutes, raining 3s, I can't do anything, they pull within 5 with about 30 seconds left. I hit just enough free throws to pull out a close win.

It was probably the most thrilling bball game I've ever played. Basketball is all about momentum and confidence, and I love how this game incorporates that. I personally don't think it feels cheesy.

The one thing I hate about this game? How slow the players walk to the blocks after a substitution (during a free throw)!!! Drives me nuts. But that's the only thing I don't like about this game...sure, it has a couple of quirks, but I'm still playing it and loving the depth.

Yes, I hate that as well. But really, it is about the only problem I have with the game.
