Wow! Just played a game against Georgia. We match up pretty well. Before the game I'm thinking of giving the walk-on FR SF, Doindre Robinson, less minutes mainly because he is not a huge scorer. I like to have shooters at the 1, 2 and 3 while keeping rebounders down low. With Diondre only a 71 at the and long range, I just don't have enough confidence in his offense.
After scoring the first basket (3pts) my starting SF goes cold going 2-8 for the first half. When he got his rest around 8:30 to go (15 min half) the walk-on walks on the court and scores 12 pts for the half!
Late in the game, and my starter has STILL has not got in rhythm so he comes in to close. Keep in mind that the starter IS the best player on the team at 82 ovr while Doindre is just a 72 ovr. Diondre hit the Johny to go ahead 4 pts with just under 40 sec. to go. they score to bring it down to one basket and he FAILS to make the 1 and 1 and they score to send it to OT.
We lose by 5 but to see a walk-on backup SF whose 3pt rating is 71 go for 4-6 from downtown (26 pts) and the starter goes 1-8 (5pts) after knocking down his first shot is just something you just don't expect. Doindre hit the first 3 he took.
A crushing defeat but a great performance by the walk-on, more minutes his way.

I love this game but when might we get a new game? I hope that if the do finally make it that the create legendary college hoops teams. I also wish they would put in a paint tool feature so we could design the floors and uniforms for teams. Also allow us to pick the locations of the tournament games (finally a final four at Cameron Indoor!!!)

Anyone know why some recruits I do "Request Game Tape" every week by chance? Is it a glitch or a sign that I will not get the recruit to sign with me? I see it in a lot of juniors. Currently there is 4 or so juniors on my target list I have to request game tape every week.

Its a glitch. I've just run into it on my 360 legacy. Wish I knew what caused it so I could avoid it. I NEVER have recruiting assistance on, and yet it still happened. If you're only seeing it for juniors, you're luckier than me. I'm seeing the problem for every single senior & JC recruit now in the middle of my season.

If you request tape on a player and the attributes look good, you're going to want to do a scouting or recruiting visit before you request tape from any other players, or you'll lose the attributes uncovered from requesting the tape.

The glitch makes recruiting a real pain in season. From doing some trial runs simming ahead to see if I was going to have to scrap my legacy, I can say that most likely the glitch will go away once you hit the post-season recruiting period. But I'm still worried that this legacy is somehow corrupted, and the problem will return later.

Lol just found out myself. Also if a game is on Sunday you can't visit recruits. Luckily all my conference games this year are on Saturday. Last year most conference games were on Sunday.

I've had this game for going on 4 years now. In year 2024 of my closed legacy I've been playing since I got the game. You know it's good when I still yell at my tv to tell my players to man up on defense. Even my roommate acknowledged how fun this game looks when I play it. Even at 6 years old now it's still the best cbb game out there.

Played my longest game ever in my legacy last night. 4OT loss for my wake demon deacons at western Kentucky. By the end my team was exhausted. I wasn't even mad though. Just an awesome game.

still playing this game since its release. and what I just witnessed is something Ive never witnessed before.
I hit a game winning shot and an opposing team's player collapses to the floor and appears to pound his fist on the ground in disgust before getting back up.
In all my games Ive played this is the first time Ive ever seen or noticed this.

This game is still AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I played it pretty non-stop from nov 07- spring 2012. I tried to fire it back up but it's age is showing so much, i just cant anymore.

If you can't get into the gameplay anymore I highly suggest legacy mode as a coach. Especially if you're into recruiting/program building/etc. Pretty addicting.

I loved recruiting. I was after two guys, the #10 player from Cleveland and the #12 player from Columbus, both PFs. When the guy from Cleveland commited, the guy from Columbus immediatley went to Michigan State. That's pretty realistic for a 2007 released game. Loved it.
