I ended up losing 88-74 to Maryland. The Terps shot 8-28 from 3pt land. Maybe I'm seeing what I want to see but since the update the game plays differently. I got hammered on the boards 47-33. FT's were even at 12 apiece. I shot 41% to there 45% fg's. This game played out very well imo.

Play a team of equivalence and you should get a pretty good run for your money. I played Kansas earlier with these sliders and had an excellent game where I won 82-80 with a drive and a foul in the final seconds to seal the game. I've had solid games against UNC and UT all while using UK and these sliders as well.
I also had a great game last night playing as Belmont against Delaware. This slider set seems to also help with the dynamic updates because it still allows the more talented teams to still be more effective against lesser teams all while leveling out teams of equal talent and ratings.
I won 45-31, I think if it had been the full 20 minutes, the score would've been more realistic, but all in all it felt pretty good.Huskers | Chelsea FC | Minnesota United | OmahaComment

Re: Weekly Dynamic Update Discussion
will the updates fix bama's uniforms they're pathetic, we got new ones this year and the ones in the game right now aren't even the ones we had last yearWhere 92 All-Americans happen; where 31 bowl victorys happen; where 21 SEC championships happen; where 12 National Championships happen; where Alabama happens, is where amazing happens.Comment

Re: Weekly Dynamic Update Discussion
Alright, so I'm Charlotte vs Xavier and its 39(me)-29 at the half. FG % is higher and better than the last game I played. Still feels a little easy, but we'll see how that goes in the second half. I think with a few more adjustments the dynamic update thing can be overcome.Huskers | Chelsea FC | Minnesota United | OmahaComment

Re: Weekly Dynamic Update Discussion
This is what I'm testing, as before I couldn't do anything against a team worse than me, let alone a team equal or better - after the update. I just wanted to see how I fared against a low level team with a good team. I'm still noticing a TON of missed shots on both sides though, which I didn't see too much of before. Hopefully it's just this one game.

My opponents usually fall into the mid 40's or so, which will need to be improved a bit. But, the reason I haven't raised the CPU shooting sliders is because when you play equally rated elite teams, they will shoot the lights out at times, any higher and they would be blowing you out of the gym. Kansas for one, is one of those type teams.
The time of the halves seem to be right on level for how I play, but definitely add more if it helps give you a more realistic score, maybe try 18 minute halves in your next contest and see if that helps. I usually average around 75-80 points a game with highly talented teams, and in the mid to upper 60's when I'm playing with mid majors, sometimes creep into the 70's.Last edited by Caliparty Love; 11-25-2009, 01:35 AM.Comment

Re: Weekly Dynamic Update Discussion
Take a look at the end of the game at the teams shooting %'s as well. I usually average out around 50%, give or take depending on the game which is close to realistic.

Re: Weekly Dynamic Update Discussion
Yeah the game I just played was amazing! I shot 46%, Xavier shot 45%. I won 74-71. Xavier hit a game tying basket with 15.5 on the clock, I ran the clock to 6 seconds and took a TO. Then inbounded found my SG, a solid 3 pt shooter, and he hit a 3 with 1.7 to go. It was a great finish. Stats look great, with the exception of fouls(which are maxed)
I think the sliders authentic made along with my tweaks may end up making for a very useful slider set. I've been very satisfied in the several games I've played thus far. Let me know how some of your other games go. I figure the more heads working together to help make any suggestions will only help to produce the best and most accurate slider set possible.Comment

Great to hear, did you move the in-air collision foul frequency back down to 80?

Re: Weekly Dynamic Update Discussion
I thought about doing some similar myself, but the only reason I didn't is because the CPU always hits ALL their freethrows. To me it almost demeans it, I still want fouls but I also like to leave a "let them play" mantality while still having some control.
Did you experience a lot of silly fouls? Such as jumping straight up and some how them falling down when you didn't touch them? I seem to have that occur quite often when I raised some of those sliders any higher.Comment

Although you are correct, the CPU's FT% is usually too high.Huskers | Chelsea FC | Minnesota United | OmahaComment

Re: Weekly Dynamic Update Discussion
Not too many silly fouls, just a few but nothing that leaves me feeling cheated. It tends to even out in the end anyway. But I agree with you when it comes to "let them play" but even the way it is now, there aren't a whole lot of fouls.
