    It would be funny if Shaq recruited Phil Jackson

      Again...I am not doubting his dominance...but how people could possibly compare him to Jordan is beyond me.

      And BigEast...my favourite player of all time was Hakeem.

      Shaq = 3 rings
      Dream = 2.

      And Dream never had a supporting all star in his prime.
      You are right monkey. Your avatar was a complete scrub when Akeem got his second ring
      EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

        It's gonna be even funnier when Phil Jackson is announced as the Lakers Coach during the Finals........

        That would be sticking the dagger in Shaq..

            Hakeem got Clyde right at the end of his peak years.

            Not the middle like Shaq / Kobe.

            I don't know how old some of you are...but go back and watch Dream win his first ring with a squad of role players / no other AS players...and tell me that this guy wouldn't have won 5 rings if he'd had a guy like Drex all through his prime.

              Dream would've done well with top guys on his team he didnt have. The guy was a monster. He ripped into David Robinson something awful.

                I thought you meant in Akeem's prime he never had an all-star(I thought Clyde was pretty damn good even at that point of his career and he was certainly of all-star calibur). Ofcourse he never grew with an all-star player who was in his early prime and I believe he would have stockpiled rings as well. Heck, this is Shaq's first year of playing with a second year player and they were 7 points away from going to the finals.

                Do you notice a pattern that where ever Shaq plays someone playing alongside him is eventually viewed as the reason for the teams success(Penny in Orl, Kobe in LA, Wade in MIA). All these players were/are tight but playing alongside the big fella was a HUGE advantage which seems to get lost amongst many casual fans.

                  If Shaq didn't care, he wouldn't have been talking about the Lakers all season long and even during the playoffs. He does care.

                    It is what it is. Doesn't really matter.

                    Reggie Miller has taking more "big" shots (as you call them) but the only ring he's wearing is a wedding ring. Same goes for Charles Barkley and Patrick Ewing, et al.

                    Shaq is not a jump shooter. Doesn't have a patented move to the basket and if he does, he's too old, fat & slow to do it anymore.

                    He's responsible for the rings that Kobe, Fisher, etc. are wearing so I can't knock the big fella one bit.
                    Agreed.

                      Shaq does make the FTs when needed (as shown with 3/4 made down the stretch).

                      BUT, he needs to challenge those shots put up by McDyess, etc. Dooling showed that he can not do it in big games by absolutely dribbling out of control (do you even know that you have eh, 4 other people around to help you out?).

                        Olajuwon also have Horry, Cassel, xavier and some more I can't remember. Those players I mention are X-factor caliber kind of players. They can play like ordinary players all season long and transformed themselves into an above average during the final stretches.

                          Obviously you are a Heat fan, thank you for bringing some semblance of objectivity here. The bandwagon patrol here doesn't seem to watch Shaq when it comes to defense. McDyess hit like three straight uncontested shots, and when a game comes down to 3 or 4 possessions, you can't have that.

                          Mourning does not get enough credit, he was a game changer, and played with hustle, and heart. If anything gets Van Gundy fired it was for not going to his twin tower lineup with 3 minutes left.

                          Amazing how Wade gets a pass for not getting Shaq the ball late in the game. Shaq was rolling (on offense), but oh well, like last year, if he wont do the little things to keep his man off the boards, and not give up the open shots then maybe he'd still be playing.

                            He doesn't get a pass that crap was riduclous and shows he doesnt know much yet, why take a jump shot.. go inside try to get foul, get shaq the ball.

                              If your going to make a insult, at least have your facts straight.

                              Reggie isnt married, so no, he doesnt wear a wedding ring....

                                Man, they were ROOKIES back then. Sammy was in his first year and Bob was second year if I remember correctly.

                                No one even knew of them before they started draining 3 balls...while Hakeem had 3 defenders all over him.

                                Dream made their careers...he made them championship players.

                                Sam I Am loves him for it to this day
