As long as the Sonics draft someone who isn't a HS kid, I will be happy.

Robinson's a little guy no? I think he's like 5'8. I heard Chuck Swirsky interview his college coach and the Chuckster's high on him.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Swirsky is in love with him. High energy player, at 5'8 has a 42 inch vert and 4.4 40 speed. He's a streaky shooter but has improved his playmaking ability.Comment

Re: Who Has Your Team Worked Out? (Draft)
Ok I'm very excited now. I read in the Charlotte Observer that the Bobcats worked out Martell Webster, whom I was high on early this month. Bickerstaff said that he was super impressed and Martell may be the only HS player in this draft worth looking at.
The Bobcats concur. Coach-general manager Bernie Bickerstaff said if they want Webster, they'll have to grab him with the fifth overall pick, because he'll almost certainly be gone before they pick again at No 13.
Last year Bickerstaff seemed more reluctant to draft a high school player. Perhaps that's because he was so enamored with Emeka Okafor. Now, Bickerstaff says he wouldn't hesitate to draft the right high school player.-Jay Illestrate, Emcee/Producer/Graphic Artist

Wizards have the 49 pick in the draft and subsequently havent really worked out anybody of consequence.. We'll prolly just draft someone local like Pops Mensah-Bonsu... Although I'm hoping Alan Anderson drops to us..Last edited by Tha_Kid; 06-15-2005, 08:16 PM.Comment

Alan Anderson is projected to go early 2nd round.
Nets worked out Diogu, Azubuike, Shields and Mendez.
Warrick was supposed to come in for a workout today, but he canceled, which leads some to believe he has already been promised a spot earlier then 15.Comment

Maybe the WIz should go for a SG. Everyone on the internet seems to think Hughes is headed to Denver.Comment

I also read that Sean May isn't in very good shape and he couldn't even finish his workout in Charlotte becaue of fatigue. Right now it looks as if they don't even care what goes on with Brevin Knight, so we might end up drafting a PG with our number 5 pick.
Best case scenario in my mind would be to draft Webster at 5, and hope a PG is there at 13-Jay Illestrate, Emcee/Producer/Graphic Artist

That said hes prolly gone so its pointless to talk about Kwame, but he is one of the reasons I dont see our bigs as a problem. its our SF position, Jamison cant guard his shadow. I'd love to trade Jamison/filler for Shawn Marion, but I doubt that happens, so AA would be a good SF who can defend and shoot a solid %.
In reality we have 3 guys who could be really good at the PF/C positiion in Haywood, Kwame, and 7'5" Peter Ramos (who will definitely get in the rotation next year). Thats good enough for me provided we play team ball. The only reason the guards dominate the scoring the way they do is because Eddie Jordan was a guard and lets Arenas/Hughes do whatever they want. In fact, Im pulling for Hughes to go somewhere like Denver so the Wizards can go after Joe Johnson or be forced to go inside. We also have filler talent that is attractive trade wise. Jared Jeffries is average but at 6'11' with a handle is still attractive to most teams. Im anxious for the CBA to get done so the offseason stuff can get going...Comment
