ABC's NBA Coverage
What do y'all think of ABC's NBA coverage? I honestly think that since they are the main network for basketball (mainly because they have the finals) I think they've done a decent job. They're not better than TNT. I like Hubbie Brown. He does a great job for them. If only they could find an analyst that is with Al Michaels for more than one year.Tags: None -
Re: ABC's NBA Coverage
Yep. The NBA was NBC's baby and they definately added more than what ABC does."Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."Comment

Re: ABC's NBA Coverage
NBC had the best coverage yet. I miss the days of watching tripleheaders during the weekends. Sunday afternoons were great. Since their gone, TNT has really stepped up their coverage. If only they weren't on cable then they could have the finals.Comment

Re: ABC's NBA Coverage
Yeah, ABC coverage starts on Christmas (why?), but they happen to show quite a few good match ups.Comment

Re: ABC's NBA Coverage
Of course ABC gets good games, they are the non-cable station. The point is that their coverage of said games is mediocre at best. NBA on NBC was the holy grail of bball coverage, NBA was too stupid to see that. Now TNT is the best, ESPN/ABC studio guys are horrible, and hubie/al michaels consistently miss the action and miss calls. John Saunders needs to be shot, and Steven A. Smith .... you know .....Comment

Re: ABC's NBA Coverage
They've come a long, long way since their first broadcast, but just like everybody else, I really miss the days of the NBA on NBC. With NBC, you almost guaranteed 3 games a weekend (usually pretty good matchups too). TNT isn't available for me north of the border, so I have to rely on the canadian stations for any games, which are pretty mediocre. They have been pretty good this year, but as soon as hockey starts again, I'm sure coverage will go back to the garbage it was last year.Comment

Re: ABC's NBA Coverage
NBA on NBC had the triple-headers, which was the best about the coverage. That, and the music.-Jay Illestrate, Emcee/Producer/Graphic Artist

NBC's coverage didn't start til Christmas, too, though.
But, yeah, NBC's coverage was WAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than ABC's. I loved watching NBC games on the weekends. Triple-header Saturdays and Double-header Sundays.Comment

ABC just needs to dump KO the guy who tries to make the pre-game a concert...and decided that I needed to hear Rob Thomas every 12 minutes.Listen to The Remodeling Clay Podcast!

or
Because of the new ABC/ESPN deal and because of the fact he's not associated with Disney and the folks at ESPN, we must sit through and have to listen to Al Micheals...
Take your pick...Comment

I hate Al Michaels... I'd rather go back to the old late 80's/early 90's Dick Stockton and Hubie Brown pairing.Listen to The Remodeling Clay Podcast!
