Re: Curry Traded to Knicks!
^That's one of the most over-rated things people say. Marbury isn't a pure PG or a past first PG by any stretch, but he's in no way a ball-hog. Personally, I think he's one of the best, if not the best, players at balencing the role of scoring and getting other involved.
Him mkaing that comment that he was the 2nd best PG was silly, but offenviely, he's one of the best in the league.Comment

Re: Curry Traded to Knicks!
Of course, my preference would be in a point guard that can see the game from a fantastic angle. Jason Kidd. Stephon is nice though on the real. Won't deny that. It does also depend who's on your team. A lot of players ballhog cause the people on their team aren't into the game or stepping up as well. happens all the time....Comment

Re: Curry Traded to Knicks!
Oh look what I came across... Any of you Knick Fans remember this thread? Do you remember how you all were praising Eddy Curry? Hmm.. Seems to me that the Bulls have gotten the better of the trade. Sweetney is doing very well, except for the early foul trouble. He has become more aggressive downlow, and is now our starting center. Chandler does 10x better coming off the bench, and our rotation of:
Duhon
Hinrich
Deng
Nocioni
Sweetney
is doing farely well for such a small lineup.
Anyways, I promise all you bitter Knick fans that I'll be back Mid-December. Lets look at the stats shall we?
2005-2006 NBA Standings
Chicago - 11 wins 10 losses
New York - 6 wins 15 loses (3rd worst record, behind Toronto and Atlanta)
Player Stats
Eddy Curry - 13 PPG, 5.9 RPG, in 24.7 MPG
Michael Sweetney - 11.3 PPG, 6.6 RPG in 23.5 MPG
Very similar, but trading away Curry has actually helped the rest of the guys excel. Deng's scoring has gone up, as well as Hinrich and Nocioni.
And as I have stated in my previous posts, Curry still is the soft, no-defense, big man that he was back in Chicago. Nothing will ever change that, not even a future hall of fame coach.
Oh and to add insult to injury... Read this..

Thank you Isiah, for giving us that lottery pick!Comment

Knick fans were saying how they got the best out of the deal. Saying Curry is their future center. But records show that they are still the same scrubby team that they were the year before. No defense, no hustle, no love for the game. Its all about greed and the individual numbers that they're able to put up.
I feel sorry for Frye, coming from such a great school such as Arizona, then coming to a team that has become the laughing stock of the NBA. Even Brown admits its hard to coach such a "me" team.Comment

Re: Curry Traded to Knicks!
Every knick fan knew Sweets was good, it was the fact that hes too small and we haven't had a real center in a long time and that we drafted Frye so that Sweets was easily replaced.Yankees
Cowboys

Re: Curry Traded to Knicks!
how's tim thomas doing? curry is playing pretty good imo he scores so easily and when the knicks feed him the ball they seem to win plus frye is already better then sweetny so it was good to have him going in the trade, as for the pick i believe if you guys don't get morrison, aldrige, or gay it will kill you guys cause you already got guards, and forwards stockedComment
