Hmmm...just saw that the full trade would include Lamar going to the Pacers.

That actually makes a hell of a lot more sense and would be a good move for them.

The whole thing actually makes sense as Rose could step in and play the role of bringing the ball up in the triangle along with Kobe.

Maybe there's some truth to it

If Odom went to the Pacers, I wonder what his role would be. IMO he's best as a "point forward" and there team ATM doesn't really suit a point forwards game. If Jermaine played more C and Odom shared the ball handling with Tinsley, it could be a good move though. Interesting.

If IND will get Odom in that trade, it would definitely make sense compared to just getting George.

That is an opinion. I'm sure there's someone on here that would be better than him, but just rather make a living doing something more "meaningful" to their life. You never know.......

So let me sort this out:
LAL get Rose & Artest!
TOR get Croshere and unknown LAL player/pick (Medvedenko?)...LMAO
IND get George (confirmed) and Odom?

When I looked at page one, the first thing that stood out was that Jackson would have 4 pieces in a 3 man triangle, so Odom being traded makes sense since he is struggling to adjust (and b/c he can't play w/kobe). TOR solidifies themselves as the worst team in the NBA (who exactly is left to score for them, especially b/c Bosh is also on the block). The Pacers take a chance with Odom, hoping he can be the other inside presence which they need alongside O'Neal. George could resurrect his career with IND and will make his presense known. If he lives up to his potential, he could be contending for most improved player by season's end.

Boy, if this goes down, it would be a hell of a blockbuster!

Indiana has said they want cap relief and young players. Odom is young but he amkes like 11-12 million per and that doesnt go along with what Bird/Walsh seem to want.

I think any deal for Indiana will basically be Artest and Chroshere for a expiring contract and young, reasonable priced player.

Could be wrong though.

If Artest will go to LAL, he will most likely expose Kobe's dirty underwear to the public especially if he is the kind of guy who speaks his mind without hesitation. If Kobe will learn to play with Artest, they could become one of the best duo in the history of the NBA. Artest doesn't have a strong leadership qualities, but he has a leadership intensity that could inspire teammates to step up. Kobe has a lot of intensity but he cannot inspire the people around him. The combined talent of both players will definitely challenge the top 3 teams of West and East any given day anytime. Until then, I would love to watch the LAL soap opera unfold each game.

He's better at basketball then anyone on Operationsports.com ...So he must not suck

Maybe he is better than anyone here at OS. But he's awful for an NBA calibre player.
