I know you dont really believe it and are just looking for attention, but I wanted to play along. I know you dont have answers, so carry on with your attention whoredom.

All arguments about who is the best swingman should be put to bed. Lebron turned soft after a hard foul in game two, so unless he gets tougher he'll have a TMac ish playoff run. Speaking of which, isn't it odd that TMac, the great player that he is has yet to play in a meaningful playoff series for hardware? Has he even made it out of the first round yet? He might be the Buffalo Bills of the NBA, no wait, they made it to the championship games.
I'll try and answer this somewhat. Kobe's jersey is the highest one this season correct? Second, he "overcame" the negative publicity of his stupidity which has been forgotten miraculously and "lead" his team to a place where everyone counted him out. He has become more of a rebel for the league which can only sell more tickets. A player who's cocky and disrespectful to those he plays against can only be entertaining. Not sure if anyone knows but Kobe is the most popular player in the league along with LBJ, VC, T Mac, A.I., ect. Numbers I don't have but c'mon, how many guys have been holding his jock strap putting him on the same pedestal as Michael Jordan within the last five days?

Another note to keep in mind is that Nash is not all that is darling. Nash isn't given respect still. People still think Kobe should be MVP though he finally stopped being greedy. Nash is playing against a healthy team when he doesn't have any type of arsenal to rattle a wind chime.

Another thing, with the game of basketball, you don't rig games by dictating everything that works. Heck, if you've played in any type of league, you know that any ref can blow a game in the direction that seems "interesting" in their own mind for the audience while throwing all morally conscious thoughts to the wind. In a Laker vs. Suns game, you know that it can get close. There are just opportunities that a ref can make bad calls, allow calls to not be called, or dictate the direction of a game with "phantom" calls. Within the Lakers/Suns series, calls have been SH!TTY to say the least. The Rockets couldn't have made it because they don't have the firepower. Refs give that extra edge with that whistle. Believe it or not but it's true.

And the best swingman in the leage is THE TRUTH!! Believe that.......

Pretty much agree with this. It's up to the ref to call what he wants, to see what he wants to see and overlook things he doesn't. Refs dictate the flow of the game, which can hurt one team while helping another. They do seem to play to the crowd from time to time, as well.

you know I don't think there's a conspiracy, but more like a bunch of twisted plans. Why would the nba be so obvious about it though?

There is a lot more to the nba than a simple conspiracy, they are ran by advertisers, and are owned by million/billionaires, in other words it's a business, and that's what I think is hurting the game of basketball in the nba. I'd hate to go into detail about my feelings towards the nba here at OS, so I'll have to create a blog or something to explain my view.

Oh and I never demanded attention, you guy could easily just ignore my posts if you want, and if you think all that I'm saying is annoying.

I know people think Mark Jackson's an idiot for proclaiming love for Kobe and claiming he's better than Jordan. I think his trumpeting of Kobe as better than Jordan is irritating. However, he does seem to know his stuff. He claimed the Bulls would upset the Heat, and the Lakers would upset the Suns. I can see that happening now, the Bulls seem to have the momentum right now. And I'm really disappointed in how the Suns have played against the Lakers, even though the Suns have a very weak frontcourt. I can see the Lakers going far into the playoffs, not all because of Kobe, but also due to his teammates and Phil Jackson's coaching. I have to say I am impressed by Kobe's play, however, he has had help.

I think a playoff series win is going to come sooner than later for him, as he seems to respond to criticism pretty well. For you to dismiss him for contention as best guard in the league just so you can crown Kobe reeks of homerism.
True, you cant write Lebron off after one game, but I've seen enough. Magic didn't act that way in the playoffs his rookie year, Jordan had to contend with the Jordan rules. I know Lebron could not take that kind of abuse. He's a great player, just Kobe is the top player this season. Kobe doesn't shy away from contact, while Lebron seems a little more like Vince Carter in settling for jump shots after some contact. But you are right, I should not have compared this to TMac, who is probably the most overrated, yet least accomplished two guard in the history of the league.

yes, but tmac has been injured up, he could've gotten better minus injuries and competed vs. kobe as a better team player.

Which also leads me to ask all the little fanboys in here showing colors for their team, WHY CAN'T THE PLAYERS COMMENT NEGATIVELY ON THE REFFING?? What kind of rule is that when a player who's putting his life on the line many times, like Nash when he got dunked on by Kobe for the block or other things like that, can't question calls that are blatanly not the right ones? So many people on this board are blind to the fact that their team is playing, their favorite player is hitting shots, and how their team is advancing within the game without viewing if their ballers and gods are making the right moves and not having the correct calls called for their blunders. A lot of you are turing your eyes away from how the game is suppose to be played and accepting this mediocrity that we are trying to call a playoff. A lot of games are beautiful but there are more horrible calls this playoff than there should be. The refs have tried to make themselves deity within the game which they aren't suppose to. Trying to do too much.

I meant to say that I personally am heading into a new opinion on the nba, not that the nba is heading into a different direction.

oh and that Kwame missed layup might've been the best highlight of that game.
Fair enough then, although there is no fixing going on.

Did you even watch game 3? LeBron went to the hole and got contact on every single drive. At his size and weight, It'll take more than a wussy hit like Haywood's to make him shy away from the basket. Did you know that LeBron leads the league in "and 1" fouls? Tough to do that if you don't like contact...

The Kobe hate in here is hilarious. I can't stand the Lakers but I hope they advance. Even last year, with Amare, I thought they were the same team the Mavericks used to be...all offense, no D. Without Amare, they are a carbon copy of the old Mavs. Voters need to resubmit their MVP votes. The real MVP should've been the big German.

Nope, I didn't see game 3, but I saw the look in his eye during game 2. If I were gameplanning against him, I'd sick the dogs on him and make him prove it. I think his size is a buffer, put Artest on him and it's a whole new ballgame. In fact, I think this will bear itself out in the playoffs. Dont they have Detroit next? I think Tayshaun will expose this, along with a few shots from Big Ben.
