ESPN names top 10 Point Guards of all-time...

I have no-beef with this list whatsoever. Probably first time I have agreed with an ESPN list.

No me neither. I can't off the top of my head think of anyone else more worthy.

        Gary Payton > Steve Nash

I don't care that he has two MVP trophies. Look at the numbers. Nash has had six good seasons in the NBA, where he has averaged around 17 points and 9 assists. Payton averaged about 20 points, 8 assists, for ten years. Plus, he is a much better rebounder. Nine time all-star, plenty of playoff games and wins, including a run to the finals. Oh, and he played defense, (All NBA defenses a bunch of years, and a DPOY in 96). Nash doesn't even play defense.

payton had no impact on his teammates he was a selfish player playing for numbers. Nash is making everyone look amazing. I agree though he should play for more years and he should carry his team at least to the Western finals.

Nice list, especially with Isiah at #3.

Selfish? He was just the best player on the team.

Nash has been at a "great" level, for two or three years. Big deal.

That's a pretty fair statement, granted it's a stretch to say he had no impact on his teammates.

I'd take Nash over Payton in their primes though.

Agreed. Nash with the suns system reminds me of Kurt Warner. A good player, but not nearly as good as the system makes him look. Kurt Warner had an mvp trophy too, is he also a top 10 QB?

there is no way nash is a top 10 PG of all time IMO.

Wow. Payton in his prime is so beyond Nash its not even funny.

Is this list missing somebody? Why wasn't Jerry West mentioned?

gp>nash . gp was the better all around player . nash is overrated on this list . gp went to the finals , not western finals but finals and competed with the bulls. nash hasnt even gotten out of his own conference yet so the make his teammates better garbage is moot.

Which is why Nash was also an excellent point guard in Dallas, correct?

How in the hell is getting to the NBA Finals the lone barometer of making your teammates better?

The Suns have yet to be the favorite in the West with Nash at the helm. Payton, Kidd, etc were all on the best teams in their conference when they went to the Finals. Plus, can we give Nash some f'n time. One post on here people are bitching at Nash cause he's only been good for 2-3 years then a post later people turn around and bitch at him cause he hasn't taken his team to the Finals yet!!!!
