Re: As Im watching KG tonight
I saw KG setting high screens and thinking what is he doing, and why is he allowing guards to deny him the ball 1 on 1.

Re: As Im watching KG tonight
The thing that separates the good from great players is performance in the clutch. In a close game the great players almost always will take the shot or create for a teammate. I watched the final quarter last night and KG hardly even touched the ball. He looked like he was bored and just going through the motions. He watched on as his teammates just continued to jack up shots. Could you imagine if that was a star player on almost any other team in the league? They would want the ball in that situation and demand it. With that said KG is a good player but to be great he has to perform in the clutch and he just doesn't do that enough."You got it man. I don't watch hockey." SidVish"I thought LeBron James was just going to be another addition to help me score."

Re: As Im watching KG tonight
If the play is call for him to set high screens which is 90 percent of there plays why shouldn't do so? On the play where you said a Guard was deny 1 on 1 there was backside help and the guard was fronting..

I'm not trying to slam him because I'm a Garnett fan but I cannot just say I didn't see what I saw. There have been many articles on this very thing happening for years now.Comment

Re: As Im watching KG tonight
He hit a 3 in crunch time to keep the game close.
Anyways, if Ricky Davis or Mike James have a hot hand, they will shoot the ball regardless of what KG does or says. He isn't the coach and I think it's indicative of how poorly McHale has built this team.
He has never really bought in guys who are willing to defer to KG and/or set him up. KG is really no different than any other post player at this stage of the game. He needs to be fed, set up but when the D clamps on him, the other guys need hit shots.
Problem is he has played without a true PG or really solid perimeter player for 85% of his career. He's played with a bunch of chuckers, combo guards, and one dimensional players."Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."Comment

Re: As Im watching KG tonight
To the people who say KG doesnt care about winning sound dumb!!! Some of the things u guys say just kill me I hear all u guys say the complete opposite thing about Kobe in one thread and then say this about KG makes no sense. And I watched the game he took just as many shots as he should have and plus Ricky had a hot hand last night and hes their 2nd best player so he should have let him see how much he could of scored.I kno so much about the NBA I should work 4 ESPN!!!!

Re: As Im watching KG tonight
You called it perfect, he's always been a Scottie Pippen, a great player, but he needs someone better than him on the team to show his true talent. He needs to be an option B.Comment
