Why, because Garnett has the intangibles that turn him into a leader and clutch performer?

Kevin Garnett doesn't guarantee anything for Phoenix. He just makes them older. Probably more talented. But in no way does he make them 100% better than San Antonio.

Not to mention Garnett doesn't fit Phoenix's style of play at all.

Garnett gives them what they need most...a guy who can go at TD point for point, board for board, block for block.

He wouldn't have to be a leader or clutch. That's Nash's role.

His role would be to get them past the Spurs.

A bit like how Houston couldn't get past the Sonics in the late 90's. Kemp killed them. They brought in Sir Charles and went past Seattle.

Not really...because Cuban then went and spent all of the same CAP space / money on Jet Terry and Eric Dampier.

I'd take a 100 year old Nash over both those guys

But they helped the Mavs get to the Finals and Nash hasnt got the Suns there yet.
