Yeah thats it, everyone else is jealous that you have Lebron, sure is hard to argue with logic that is so flawed. Cleveland got that # 2 seed thanks to Chicago falling apart in the last game, the East isnt exactly the strongest conference in the NBA, like I pointed out before they skated through the 1st round thanks to the Arenas injury. Pertaining to the two 50 win seasons, that has no bearing, you can win a bunch of games but in the end nobody remembers anyone unless you win the title, look Dallas this year for a prime example of that. I dont hate Cleveland but I think they are flawed in far too many areas to get to the Finals.

And the Cavs beat a Wizards team everybody in the East wanted to play in round 1, and a Nets team with an old Jason Kidd, a heartless Vince Carter, and their best big man watching the entire season.
The Pistons also have a World Championship banner and 2 Eastern Conference Championship banners. They've earned the respect they get. Cleveland hasn't earned anything yet.Comment

Wow, the Bulls would have beaten your precious Cavs I hate to break it to you. Taking into consideration the injury situation I would take Orlando over a Washington team being carried by the likes of Jamison and Antonio Daniels but I guess Cleveland had a much tougher road to get to this point.Comment

And? That was last year.
Who cares about stats? The Suns were amazing in just about every offensive category.
The Pistons have won 50 games for 6 straight years. Again: Who cares?
The EASTERN Conference.
This is the 5th straight Eastern Finals for the Pistons.
Yeah, because everybody hates the Basketball Jesus...

As of right now I'd only take Nash over him and even then, I'm not sure.Comment

I agree, he's still a top 3 PG, but he's still not the same Kidd he was when he took the Nets to the Finals. Considering the knee injury he had, that's only natural.Comment

Yeah.. but he's surprised me more than anybody this post season. The way he moves around the court at his age, is incredible. Showed some real balls throwing 3/4 court alley's to Vince in that last game. Should have completed them too.. they were right on the money.
Thats darn impressive.
Can't believe it's been that long ago since he took them to the Finals. I remember watching it during intermission during one of the city leagues I played in. (between games out in the lobby, haha)Twitter - WTF_OS

If the Jazz can get the next one, obviously that's a great confidence boost coming back to Salt Lake. But even if they go down 2-0, you won't see Jazz fans panicking at all. We've been down 2-0 already in these Playoffs and came back and won the series when everyone thought it was over before Game 3.
Utah plays well at home and I think it will be harder for the Spurs to win in Utah then it is for us to win in SA. This series will go seven games and if that bores you then you should shut up and find something else to do. Just my two cents.
that's just nonsense.SAN ANTONIO SPURSComment

Its funny how you said the cavs pushing the pistons happend last year...but look...your naming things that happened 2-3 years ago...and yea...those stats say the suns where the best offensive teams...our stats say we were one of the better defensive teams...top 5 and unnoticed....
Pushing a team to 7 games in the Conference Semifinals doesn't earn you respect from the media. Winning back to back conference titles and one NBA title does.
And like I said...who gives a damn about stats?Comment

Re: ***Official 2007 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread***
Honestly there's no reason for the media to give respect to Cleveland right now. Sure they're the number 2 seed, but as Psy said, it's the Eastern Conference. If you just look at the players on each team you'd go with Detroit. Add in that Detroit has the past success and it's an easy choice to go with the Pistons in this series.
I think Cleveland has a bit of a chance and want them to win, but just looking at things realistically, the Pistons should be favored by almost everyone.Comment

Re: ***Official 2007 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread***
Exactly. I hope no one in the media gives us a chance...so Bron can get nice and pissed-off. The same pundits said we wouldn't win a game last year...
May we have no injuries, just a good hard-fought series...that the Cavs win in 6.
Good luck.Last edited by HMcCoy; 05-21-2007, 01:12 AM.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment
