There's a difference between playing healthy and playing well. The Pistons aren't playing their best, but they are healthy now.

And no, the Pistons shouldn't be "blowing them out of the water". That's not what they do. Once again, you prove you don't really know anything about the Pistons.

If they are such a better team then us...we shouldnt be there late in games...period...see what the Spurs are doing??

The cavs defense is the reason the pistons are not playing well...and like i said...its not my purpose to know anything about the pistons...i know what i see...

Yeah, we saw how that turned out. The Bulls ended up making a series out of it.

Also, considering the Cavaliers had a better season than the Bulls...no, the Pistons should not be blowing them out.

The Cavaliers' defense is the reason the Pistons are playing poorly.

The Pistons' defense is the reason the Cavaliers are down 0-2.

                ???

Where was the Pistons D on Marshalls clanked D? Botched assignment. Where was the Pistons game-winning D on Larry's wide open 10-foooter or Andy's tip? Group-hugging LeBron. Had either of those plays been affected in any way by the Pistons, I could agree that DET defense won those games...but that's not what happened.

Both teams have played great defense, and you guys are very fortunate this team clanked two open gamewinners on your home floor.

                Whatever. No excuses... Game 3.

It doesn't matter how many points you lose by. You still lost. At the end of the day that's all that matters. If you guage how good your team is by determining how many points they lose by, I feel for you as a fan and that team.

Like Psyblast said, the Pistons aren't the type of team that blows teams out. They just win, and that's all that matters.

I agree to an extent. Yes the Cavs will be going home courtesy of the Pistons, only this time it won't take 7 games.

Try looking at the bigger picture. You know, the one where the Pistons held the Cavaliers to 26 second half points. The one where the Pistons held Larry Hughes, Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Drew Gooden to a combined 5-19 for 11 points.

Like I said...the Cavs' D has been great. They've caused the Pistons to play poorly. But the Pistons' D has been better; exactly 6 points and 2 games better.

Good points, especially the last sentence...but that "better defense" would have meant zero had we knocked down 2 OPEN, UNCONTESTED SHOTS. Bottom line. We'll see how it all shakes out...

                        You "protected" home, good job.

i know the pistons d has been good but i think alot of the cavs biggest problem is no one can shot it seemed like they missed a decent amount of shots with no one around them. hughes is horrible biggest waste of money in the nba in my opinion and gooden has done nothing in this years playoffs just like he did last year.I still think this series will go 7

There's a lot of points to be made here, but 99% of the Cavs fans are going to tune them out... but here goes...

-- 2 games totally 6 points difference does not tell the story. The Cavs have ZERO second half heart these last two games. Where does the intensity go? Does Mike Brown give "demotivational speaches" in the lockerroom. Don't get me wrong, the Pistons are a really good 3rd Quarter team, but where are the Cavs in the second half?

-- Whether the last play was a foul or not, two things need to be considered: #1 - If you rewatch the game and count the no calls and bad calls, I would say they safely balance out. #2 - The refs swallowed their whistles most of the night. The Cavs needed to expect that. They needed to be on their toes. If you're going to be pissed at someone, be pissed at Larry Hughes for missing a wide-open 7 footer.

-- And the most important fact... an ugly win is 1,000,000,000x better than a pretty loss. It doesn't matter how the W's are formed... only that they are.

NOW.... time to bitchslap the Indians too.

I'm not a fan of either team, I really respect the Pistons style of play and I kind of like Lebron in the underdog role so as an outside observer its no big sursprise the D's been great on both sides, you could call it a push as far as that goes not too often do teams give up less than 80 points in 2 games and be down 0-2 which makes it obvious where the biggest difference between these teams lays. Plain and simple the Pistons are a better offensive team, they have more options, and have season vets that can execute down the stretch. Thats why they win the way they win, they stick with their style of play and ultimately they outlast the other team, they've been doing it for years. This series could easily be 2-0 the other way but these games that were heartpumping nailbitters for the Cavs were games the Pistons are used to winning, thats why they've had the sucess they've had.

P.S. sure the Ref blew some calls but lets face it thats the NBA, the NBA refs are equal opportunity screwers.

If that's going to happen then people can't criticize Lebron for passing to people with the open shot when he's getting mugged going to the basket at the end of the game but doesn't get the call.
