Blazers not only have a TON of young talent, if they can also dump Miles cantract like they did Randolph's, they'll likely be the biggest player in FA next season.

Things just keep looking better and better up in POR...

There was a quote of him saying that he would love to come back to Houston.. too lazy to find it, but he did state it when he was a Knick, I believe.

          You and me both.

I can stand in the corner and shoot threes, and play defense occasionally.

His punishment? Likely getting $34 MILLION DOLLARS and a chance to play again (in every sense!) with his 'best friend' Cat Mobley.

Good luck to him...imagine a job where you get sacked and told you're not wanted and "here's 34 million to do nothing"...
Just about every CEO and executive has that perk, it's called severence pay. I wish I had a job like that too.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

With Cassell being 50 and Livingston not having knees, the Clippers seem like a good fit. Moreso than Houston who already went out and got Mike James.

I'm pretty sure you don't have any tremendous upside potential or any length.

However, if you are European we can overlook that.

Yeah, I just don't see how he doesn't end up with the Clipps. Him and Cat are basically dating so that'll work out good.

Jason Hart is a player though, it's so sad that teams just don't seem to have any faith in him as their everyday starter.

I don't see the Clippers paying for Franics, they are still paying Webber Aaron McKie through next season. So I think they stick with Cassell through the year then when they have more cap room next year they look around. Next years FA class is said to be a better one, too.

they are also reportedly still talking with the Bucks about Yi

Wait what? The Clippers never had Webber nor McKie, did they?

Plus Steve will most likely be paid significantly less since Portland is going to buy him out with his current deal.

                        Webber and McKie? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man, the NBA forums, gotta love it.

Francis could make the vets minimum and be fine. He'd be back with his reason to wake up in the morning too.

O.K. good, I thought for a second I was going nuts.

But yes, reunite the lovers Franchise and Cat. He won't ask for much money. If Steve can get his weight down it could be interesting. Still remember the days he was nearly unguardable.

good lord, I'm not sure what I was thinking. Actually, I do. I get pretty dyslexic when talking about Clippers/76ers since they sound so alike and have similar colors and logos (old 76ers logo=clippers logo). LOL, whatever

Ok this is a bit off topic:

Are Francis and Mobley....well, you know?

I dont want to set off a hystaria of rants, but I am wondering if anyone has actual proof? I had a feeling back since the 2000 dunk contest (the GS one where Vince went off). The way Stevie and Mobley were carrying on, seemed like they had a bit more than a teammate kinship. Then when the Magic traded Mobley and Francis clamied that he felt there was nothing to live for.

Once again I dont want this thread to get locked up becasue some of the more junior posters can't keep it civil, but I am curious if anyone out there has some sort of proof?
