The way Stevie and Mobley were carrying on, seemed like they had a bit more than a teammate kinship. Then when the Magic traded Mobley and Francis clamied that he felt there was nothing to live for.

Once again I dont want this thread to get locked up becasue some of the more junior posters can't keep it civil, but I am curious if anyone out there has some sort of proof?
    They're just friends, goodness.

I live 15 minutes from Portland, trust me, I get the getting rid of Randolph. I guess I didnt realize that Francis just isnt as good as he used to be. I'm glad they got rid of Zach and Miles needs to go next. Portland is finally starting to lose that thug image.

Actually, Francis begin his NBA career in Houston, Texas, but he's originally from Takoma Park, Maryland.

I don't think Portland is at fault here. I've heard that it's Francis who has made it clear he doesn't want to play for them. This guy has been complaining for years.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

I don't think it's Francis which is why I'm so puzzled. I don't understand why they would trade for him just to buy him out.

They probably had to just to make the salaries match.

Haha, nah, no proof. But, there's always the speculation.

So basically the Blazers paid $34 million and took on Channing Frye to get rid of Zach Randolph. I am still not sure how I feel about this as a Knicks fan.

blazers got rid of a trouble player

got a young player in return

and are able to dump some salary next year (francis)

Rumor out there is Alston and may be someone else for Haslem of the heat.

That opens a spot up for Francis...
