Simply put. T-Mac is the man, and he never gets the coverage, or the hype, or his name in news paper front pages because of things I mentioned. He can do all thay Kobe is doing, but people seem to forget that. That's what seperated MJ from everyone else. Noone could, and still can't do what he did. T-Mac is Kobes equal, or better, and I'd like to know why anyone can say anything diffrent.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

i think 42+ppg over an 11 game span goes a long way towards saying otherwise. But anyways, TMac is a great player, just not quite as good as Kobe.

WHOAH! 42+ ppg in an 11 game span? I think Kobe didn't [censored] you right today. You need another fix. You're [censored] delusional.
BTW T-mac too had a streak of 40+ppg. It lasted 5 games.
" I look at him and it's getting to the point where it's just scaring me. He looks younger but he doesn't carry himself in a younger manner. He's impressive, and I'm glad we drafted him. "

Well.. you were the one that said Kobe was averaging less shots and more assists, rebounds, etc. If you're going to use stats to defend Kobe, I can do the same with T-Mac.

              Re: T-Mac

I think T-mac is just as dangerous as Kobe on the offensive end. He is probably slightly more athletic and "long" which makes him a little more versatile around the rim. His size and length also makes him a tougher matchup. The difference is on the defensive end and in the guts dept. He doesn't play hard for 48min ( this aint from no silly *** eye-analysis )This was a quote from Doc Rivers posted in the Cleveland Plain Dealer on their Quote of the day section about two mos. ago. He said that it is frustrating coaching him because he could be the best in the league if he played with intensity on a consistent basis.( Or something to that affect)
Any player whos coach says he doesn't give 110 every game can never be considered truly great in my book. Mike came in the league with fire in his gut from day one. Gimme that type over raw talent any day. I see that "force of will" every game from Duncan, Kobe and other young guns. T-Mac is not one.

I agree with that. Although I don't really think anyone can tell how hard T-Mac is playing because he shows almost no emotion unless he throws down a nasty dunk. However, when games are on the line.. watch him on defense. Occasionally he'll really play his heart out trying to front a forward or defend a point guard. He's really a great defender. If only he'd defend that way on a regular basis

Forget Doc. What about MCGrady's take on the situation. How can you say he soesn' tplay hard every game. He kills himself according to T-Mac throughout the game by expending so much energy on both ends because he really doesn't have any help, that he doesn't have anything left in the tank at the end. He puts in 110 %, but he can't do it all for the whole team.

Not only that, but he carries them practically to the playoffs every year, and gives his all, if you watch him, and he still doesn't have the help he needs. Don't make a quote out of it's context, to try to discredit T-Mac like the Kobe lovers do. This guy is amazing, but he just doesn't get the hype.
