I feel T-Mac would have been better off, if he'd had someone take him under their wing, but he didn't. That's why I called him a self amde superstar. He worked himself to the level he's at. He may not really realize yet the true potential he has, but he probably needs someone better than Doc Rivers, (who by the way was a great hustle player in his day) to help him get there. I jus tdon't think he can challenge and bring the greatest out of T_Mac

One of the hottest players in the L right now is lost in the frenzy of the media searching fo rthe next MJ, playing in a low market city, and having less than mediocre player s on his team.
T-Mac is a self made superstar. Why? He came in the league in the shadow of VC, and wasn't given a chance. Signed to a team with another superstar whom through injuries, will prevent us from ever seeing their true potential together, and who is now leading the L in scoring with a chronic back injury himself, all while giving his all on both ends of the floor, and never being taken under the wing of any great vet, coach, GM, or anyone else.
This guy has considerable MVP talent, and if given the chance noone would pass up to have him on their team. Without shooting 40+ shots a game. he has consistantly kept the highest scoring average, and done all he can to keep his team from sinking to rock bottom.
With him being considered the best player, potentially best, most talented (pick one) he is always discredited with those statements with weak arguements such as he looks sleepy, or too bored with the game, or the first round knock outs in which no one superstar can bring his team out of alone (maybe MJ did) ie... KG
This doesn't make him any less of a great player, but that is a controversial issue alone these days. I pesonally haven't seen him do any less than any other of the great talent today, but of coarse he is lost in the new MJ sweepstakes frenzy. Grant Hills ankle gets more talk than this gauys game is getting, but he is no lower than any other superstar in the league IMHO.

Not to mention, fighting his way to the top.
Then again Kobeand Shaq
have done the same.

Re: T-Mac
hey, if u look at the history, i almost never bring up KB8, usually someone else takes a shot at him, and i have to defend him. But i have no prob keeping this thread about TMac, who is one of my top 5 favorite players, and the only player that I've ever got a triple double with in NBA Live 2003 against my brother (3 minute quarters!!! 27pts, 10reb, 14ast). I thought i'd mention that since this IS a videogame site.....Comment

Re: T-Mac
yeah, the final scores are usually anywhere from 40-70ish, getting above 70 is VERY rare. Sometimes the shooting percentages are really high, but it's so fun. and with 3 minute quarters, we keep it fresh...
but back to TMac. He also has the scoring record between me and my bro, my brother got 51pts with him against me one game.Comment
