Seriously if he is one shot away from 40 and continuing the streak, why not take the shot? It wouldn't matter if the opposing team lost by 2 more points.

it was cheapy because he really had to break the record, he was the one who got the ball for the 40th point, as you watched, he got the ball for horry i guess, in some instances he let others run the clock, but no!! he was really for the record to get that 40 point! the game was over but he really had to take another shot for 40 points!

      <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

FOXYboy, do you believe it is wrong for a person to pursue a record?

He went for the last shot for the record, yes. He took shots during the game for the win. Had he only had 20 pts he more than likely wouldnt have taken that final shot.

The main thing is that Kobe's team is winning. If he is shooting to break MJ's record, good for him, because obviously it brings success to his team. Man, I wish all the players started to pursue records if it would help their team win.

                      - Lavar Arrington on his new Redskins teammate Sean Taylor.

Did you haters notice that whenever kobe "scores for the records" his team wins? Lakers are like 10-2 or 11-2 when kobe "scores for the record"
