I love it, the Kings don't want the Mavs in a 7 game series. Are you kidding? I think it will be fun to watch the Kings run layup drills for 4 games. I'm starting to turn from a loyal Laker ***** to a guy that can't stand the Mavs because of their fans. So one more time in case you people in Texas didn't hear me. THE ROAD TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP RUNS THROUGH CALIFORNIA. Do you understand that? I sure hope the Lakers get the 8 seed, just so they can run the Mavs out of the playoffs in the first round.

With exception to the Lakers, Spurs and Kings...which all three would obviously be a challenge, please tell me who can play with Dallas.

Minnesota? If you're saying playoff basketball is what "allows" me to say who Dallas can and can not smoke, look at last year's playoffs to see why Dallas beats Minny yet again.

Portland? One of the best teams in the league when they want to play. The problem is, they don't want to very often.

Utah? Knocked them out of the playoffs two years ago. A better, more experienced Mavs team would lose to them now? I think not.

Besides, if all that matters is playoff basketball, then it would be pointless to have any of these debates until April, would it not? Hell, I'm happy to even be a part of these discussions having been a Mavs fan for 10+ years. The 90's were harsh.

Having been through that, I'll take any chance I can get to talk about my team.

i respect the kings and fear their offense because they can match the mavs... yes it would be fun to see a kings mavs playoff series... but you as well as many other kings fans need to move out of the past buddy. This is not the same maverick team as last year. In case you didnt notice mavs got the best record as well as top ten in points allowed, rebounds and other key stats. I live in Cali, I love it here, but I sure hope the mavs do meet the lakers in the first round, then see the kings in the WCF so we'll see those layup drills eh?

Being a Kings fan, I guess you would hope Dallas draws the Lakers in the first round. That would keep your team from having to get knocked out of the playoffs by them two years in a row, huh?

I never said that the road to the finals doesn't run through California. In fact, I've been saying all along that the elite teams in the western conference, or hell, NBA for that matter are Dallas, LA, Sacramento and the Spurs. I don't know if your blinded by fear of the Lakers or what, but next time, read over the post a little more carefully before chiming in with your reply.

man the mavs will be more hungry when the lakers are in the 8th seed, that would be great, easier! keep your hopes way high skillz! 4th in the west! NOT BAD! really NOT BAD!
