    I agree with you that there are other guys more deserving. But I do feel Dirk does not desrve it as much as Kobe does.

          Dirk, too, is my favorite player as a Mavs fan. But he's not an MVP yet, despite the fact that he carries the team more than most in this thread seem to realize.

          Hey, he's only 24.

          I'll say this. He's the most unique player in the league. How many 7-footers can shoot the 3 and run the break? He's become a tremendous rebounder, and his passing has improved dramatically this year.

          He hasn't even scratched the surface. Don Nelson called him the best he's coached ever, although he added, "you ain't seen nothing yet."

              Irk is an amazing talent, he's just missing the D. Then he'll be the complete player. That's where KG and TD have him. All 3 of those guys are super talented, but Dirk is just missing that little something else. And besides, his team is stacked, not like the TWolves and the Spurs.
