Sure he's helped them. If not for injury, they would've been in the playoffs last year, and they ahve a better team than they've had in years. It's not MJ's fault the big men don't play well. He has always been able to lift his teammates game, but the guys they have now need some time.

You don't grow superstars in 2 years. If you look 2 years back before he came, and now, I'm most sure you'd always pick the current squad. Kwame will have to suck it all up, and act like a man, and Etan Thomas too. Those guys are if not as good as Samake Walker if you see what I mean. They need to play consistently, not every once in a while.

As far as his # 23, I don't think he'll want it to be retired.

It may not be retired, but I guarantee no Wizard wears number 23 for a long, long time.

I can't remember where I read this, but Jordan's jersey is NOT being retired for the Wizards. His #23 will be retired in Chicago after he has finished up playing for the Wiz.

I kind of agree with that. I don't think anyone will wear it, becuase MJ wears it. I would think the next person to want to wear it would probably have to ask him for permission or something like that.

yes for many reasons.

if i owned the wiz, and i had the greatest player of all time play in my team (a.k.a. Michael Jordan), even if it was just 2 seasons, i'd hang up his jersey up there in my stadium. having a Jordan #23 Jersey hangin in your stadium is alwalys a special thing, always a sight to see (especially if you have tourists around). and there will always be pride in saying "Michael Jordan played for my team".

i'm pretty sure no one else will try wearing #23 in the future. so why not retire it anyway?

he's done a lot for this franchise. tell me, how many basketball fans in the world now are fans of (or at least know)Washington Wizards because of him? Who knew of the Washington Wizards before he came in? He put the Wiz in the map of the basketball world. that deserves a jersey retirement.

and for what he's done for the league, he derserves to have his jersey retired at least in the two teams that he p[layed in.

Yes. It should be retired, Wizards need something to look at in the rafters, since there aren't any championships going up there for a while
