He's only really missed a number of games in two of his years. This season is yet to be determined, he's missed like 10 or 11 games. Check the numbers.

With all that said, I feel for the dude. He's a good person, ever since I found out he went to Darfur over the summer, and how he wants to help change Africa, I respect that immensely.

Ok Half man 3/4 of the season...

K-Mart and T-Mac would be an amazing duo. Beno is playing sick ball right now. The Kings can go small with Artest at the 4.
They already have 4 PG's the Rockets would be very dumb to do that trade. IMO

He doesn't do that at the moment. Ironically, for better or worse, Mac was / is the perfect Van Gundy guy.

Van Gundy loves Iso's...and Mac's style is Iso type ball.

Mac could carry the ball up as slow as he liked under JVG...pick his spot...and do what he liked.

Adelmans style needs ball movement or it simply doesn't work.

Whether Mac and Adelmans styles can co-exist...who knows. The Rockets season depends on it though.
It was Van Gundy's pet Rafer who brought the ball up the floor, but instead of being smart and allowing a little freedom, Van Gundy the control freak had to call a play on every single possession.

Van Gundy didn't love iso's. He was for some reason stuck on the high screen and roll at the top of the key.

That wasn't the problem though, his problem was, he didn't make adjustments, and he never called more than 3 plays no matter what, even if the same predictable crap wasn't working.

I agree with you though CV, that Tmac needs to fit in the system when he returns, but he was doing that as I said in the beginning, which is how they ended up giong 6-1. I'm all for eliminating Gundy ball altogether, and Rick can call iso's but not as many as he was.

The issue only came in when nobody could make a jumpshot. Apparently they've worked on that and fixed it, well most of them anyhow (because Mike James has played his way to the pine).

I just think this team was dumb for trading something they needed in Rudy Gay (a tall, athletic driving athlete) for Shane Battier.
