Kwame is expiring. Not a hard concept man. At least they'd be building for the future. If Indiana trades O'Neal for trash and doesn't get future players their fans would boycott. That trade makes zero sense.

Im hoping all those guys are expiring, becuase they are all just bench players at best.

The bulls are in serious trouble, I have a feeling that both Deng and Gordon walk at worst, and one gos at best, and we have nothing to show for it.

We had a chance to make a splash this summer and Paxson was a pnasy about it, keeping togthere his "core".

Wonderful, all of the big threes trade value has dropped and we are stuck hping for a free agent to sign with us.

Pax should be fired.

both those first rounders are going to be late they already got three point guards that are good, and they also got KWAME thats why its so hard for me to understand and then to here the gm say hes gonna get laker finals tickets was the topping on the cake, the trade i did makes jermaine happy, and doesnt really hurt them finicially cause j o'neal has 2 years left and so do all the players offered

Yeah although the Grizz didn't get much back for Gasol, they at least IMPROVED their situation for the long run. Kwame was a valuable trade chip for the expiring contract that he had, two draft picks, maybe one of those will turn out to be good, and now they have one young pg that is expendable that they can evaluate and trade in the offseason for something else. Did they get an awesome deal? no way. But they did have justification for making that trade whereas the only justification for the pacers making that trade is "to make Jermaine happy". It's a business, they would rather trade Jermaine O'Neal for Kwame Brown or Theo Ratliff than what you proposed.

I guess the concept of the expiring contract is hard to understand but it opens up cap room in the future so these teams can actually sign players in the offseason to improve.
