Isn't that the definition of an MVP? I mean the most VALUABLE player is counted on to make baskets when they need it badly no?

(well that's how I see MVPs. It's one of my criteria actually)

Just look how well they have played SINCE he has been back after missing those first games.

Last time I heard SINCE then; there record WITH Jack is the best of any team SINCE that point of the season.

And the way Monta has been playing; come on now Baron isn't and shouldn't be even discussed in this post.
Would you like BD to sit out a few games so we can get a feel for how GSW plays without him?

Well if THAT is the criteria of MVP then KG should be disqualified.

I didn't say that should be the end-all way to decide this, I was just point how each player has produced so far this season. It's up to you to take into account what role each player takes up and evaluate how well you think he has filled that role.

I wasn't even arguing that he was the MVP. I said there's a gap between the top three and Howard and Baron. but it's not crazy like your making it seem to at least put his name up there.

They would be some garbage; of course. But we would be CREATING a situation instead of taking the situation that is presented to us NOW.

So that is an invalid argument.

It really is VERY crazy to bring up someone that didn't even make the All Star game as an MVP candidate.

Tim Duncan is obviously the MVP of the Spurs... but if you need a bucket I dont know if he is the obvious choice to take the big shot at the end of the game.

i wish you wouldve mentioned that to Pop when they fed him in the post to win game 7 against the Mavs 2 years ago :-(

Then I don't see how GSW record with and without Stephen Jackson is a valid point to be made if we can't do the same for Baron. Unless of course you believe that Baron Davis is an interchangeble piece for the Warriors, but you don't believe that.
