Why my pick is Lakers as Champions again.

Let me state my team affiliation first. I am a Maverick fan.

Only teams that have a team-carrying(what i consider a dominant) player typically win the Championship. I feel that there are really on 4 to 6 players that are team-carriers in this league. In my opinion 4 are an easy pick. Shaq, Kobe, Duncan, and Garnett.

Two others I am not quite sure they are at that level. One of these two is McGrady. Although he is one of the best in the game, i am not sure he is a a team-carrier. If he is, then without them, they truly suck and would end up in last place.

The last player i may consider but certainly don't think he is quite their is Dirk. I think he may be there next year.

I am sure that there is certainly some debate over this but the bottom line is the top 4 i mention. Of the top 4, Lakers have 2 of them. Two of the arguably best players in the game right now.

The King's fan will say that last year they were just a basket away from being last years chance. But the reality is you lost. You chocked. I am a Maverick fan and i know what choking is all about. You lost and the Lakers went to be World Champs.

And that is my pick.

Mavericks never choked. Also, lakers have t ppl and thats it all there rople players are old. Therefore, either dallas or sacramerntos year.

The nationally televised 28 pt blown lead against the Lakers was one of the best examples of choking I have ever witnessed... Us Mavs fans do indeed know all about choking, they have the total deer in the headlights look against the Kings.

The Lakers do have two of, if not the two best players in the league, but the Mavs are hands down a better TEAM.

That said, the Kings are quite a bit farther along than the Mavs, are more talented, deeper, and just a better team, which is why I pick this to be Sacramento's year.

Ya, but it's been that way for the Lakers for the last 4 years. It's always been those 2 against everybody else, with the role players hitting big 3's or other shots here and there. So, out of these last 4 years, they have won 3 of them. I'm not saying they are a lock for the champions this year. Sac, Dallas, and San Antonio all have a good shot at it. Sac probably having the best chance, if they ever get healthy. Dallas might surprise everyone tho. You never know what's gonna happen in the playoffs. And SA is always solid. Robinson should be healthy and rested for the post season.

Oh, and the Mavs didn't choke last year in the playoffs, they were just outplayed. The only choking they have done is this year, against the Lakers.
