Good point keRplunK. If he's just trying to motivate and light a fire underneath them, fine. Could be, but that isn't what his comments sounded like. If he's complaining about the makeup of the team, he has nobody to blame but himself.

Actually, Michael Jordan has every right to blame his team. They don't play their heart out every night, and it is very obvious. I've watched many Wizards games, and at times they look like a very lazy bunch. Stackhouse needs to step up more, because he goes from having a 20 point game one night, to having 5 the next night, and its happend multiple times this season.

He seems to be a better GM then your Sonics management.

Calvin Booth-overpays him
Vin Baker-overpays him
Trades away Desmond Mason??

hmm....somone's favorite team's GM is suspect.

The Wizards have a whole bunch of talent, almost too much there should be no reason why a 40 year old is out playing them.

You say he's got a good team that he's not making better?

One high school kid in his second year, one starting center in his second year, 2 rookies of which one is out for the season... that makes up a good part of the good team you're talking about. On the other side you have Laettner, Oakley and Russell all role players past their time even as role players, and Lue who shouldn't be a starter in the nba.

What's left is Jordan, Stackhouse (inconsistent) and Hughes (inconsistent). Take Jordan off this team and you have the Cavs, the Clippers, the Nuggets. It's the will to win that's missing. The desire, and most importantly the defense. I can't imagine any facts, statistically or otherwise to support yoru thoughts.

So if the people who you are leading don't follow, how are you a great leader?? Explain that. His selfish play doesn't set a good example, and that's why you see the wizards struggle. His problem is that he thinks he's the old 4th quarter jordan, but he's not, in fact he's far from it especially in the 4th quarter.

This is a Jordan *****. Anyone that says he's not a leader is void of understanding. Because Kwame Brown is going through stages most rookies go through disqualifies him as a leader? He always leads by example, and more of the young guys in the league need to follow his lead.

Uhh. He almost seems like the only guy on the team that has a clear goal, and direction, and is doing everything he can to obtain that goal. Do you see the urgency anywhere else? NO? Do you see him speaking out about it? Yes? Do you see him lead by example? Yes. Do you see him practice what he's saying to them? Yes? Do you see him trying to show these guys how to play, and understand what it takes to win? Yes?, If you do, then you see good qualities of a leader. Whether or not they listen, or do the necessary things,it's not his fault. Some people grow at diffrent rates than others, and some never get it.

You can guide a person, tell them how to play the game, but if they don't do it for themselves, that's because they don't try, or don't want to. You can't make grown people do anything they don't want.
