and just as everyone that criticizes jordan isn't a jordan ***** everyone that supports the claims here isn't riding his jock.

It seems like you're judging his merit by them being the best team in the NBA. The players around Jordan are following him to the best of their ability. That's why they are fighting for a playoff spot rather than the number one lottery pick. I'm not putting down the players on his team to build him up either. Stackhouse, Hughes and Brown are solid NBA players but so are Ricky Davis, Wagner and Miles. There's not much else to the Wiz but aged veterans brought to the team really only to teach the young kids and the young kids those veterans are there to teach. Making others on your team play better and making them champions can be two different things.

We seem to be getting lost here, taking others' viewpoints to the extreme, some of which was my fault.

There is a considerable difference between leader and great leader. That's how I got hooked into this latest debate. I don't consider him to be a great leader, but I'd never question that he is the leader on that team.
