I posted these highlights in another thread....he was SICK last night.

I've never been so excited for a drafted player or prospect in Chicago as I am with this kid.

Vinny is possibily a worst coach than Skiles/Boylan.

Rose, for some reason or another, didn't start last night. However, he did end up playing 38 minutes, which was good. But why are you bringing him off the bench in pre-season game? Rose should be starting in every pre-season game. He's the number one pick in the entire draft, you need to start him and play him for at least 35-40 minutes a game. You want him to reach his potential of being an All-NBA PG and not being a super-sub.

I'm going to say this right now, Rose is the best talent we drafted since the end of the championship era(aka the Jordan Dynasty). Better than Elton Brand? Yes. Elton was a great player and always knew he would be an all-star. BUT I never believed that he would develope into the best PF in the league when he got to his prime. And after watching Brand all these years I still felt that he's a great PF BUT not on the level of Duncan or Garnett.

Rose on the other hand has that potential to be on the same level as Chris Paul/Deron Williams. I'll go out on a limb and say, in the next 3 years when you disscuss on who's the best PG in the NBA Rose's name will be in the mix with Paul and Williams.

Re: D Rose putting in that work last night

I watched most of the game last night, dude's shooting form (more specifically his release) already looks way better than it did six months ago at Memphis. He is gonna be a BEAST.

Dice, don't read into that lineup move too much. Coaches mess with stuff in the preseason, that's what it's for. After all, the Knicks started Marbury at the 3 last night, lol. I agree w. you on Rose's talent as well, personally I don't even consider it going out on a limb to say he'll be in the mix with Paul and Williams. I'd be more surprised if he wasn't that good than if he is.

it was just amazing how Rose took over the game in the end, i thought for sure the bulls were going to lose

hopefully they can get another W today, and hopefully Rose can have another great game

You're absolutely right...Rose's form looks infinitely better than when he was playing at Memphis. He seems to be way more confident from mid-range, and it seems most of his misses are on target yet short.

In response to him not starting, I dont think he was supposed to play much yesterday due to the fact that he attended his uncle's funeral. I believe Vinny decided to play him much more after he started taking the game over.

Yep, he looked comfortable shooting that pull up fifteen footer. If he makes that shot with any kind of consistency then you simply can't control him at all.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Re: D Rose putting in that work last night

Watched the game on Tivo today. Rose is an animal. No one on the Mavs could check him. I'd be surprised if anyone will be able to guard him in a year or two. He's already one of the most athletic PGs in the league and played with a lot of poise last night.

My thing with him was I thought coming in he was going to be a little soft, his jumpshot not so good, and his NBA-readiness at a low level. Last night he was driving the lane hard, his jumper was wet (as others have noted) coming off of pull-ups and open shots, and he led the Bulls to a comeback win almost singlehandedly. He's the best player on the Bulls right now, and was way more impressive to me than Hughes, Sefolosha and Hinrich.

The way he was playing, I don't think his effort was just the result of it being in pre-season, the way JJ Redick, Gerald Green and so many others play well before the season begins. He has all of the tools to be great and a good basketball head on his shoulders.

Love his game. More under control than most young athletic combo guards. He really knows how to finish without dunking or touching the glass. He has those in between finishes that will help him for years.

His game reminds me of a young Rod Strickland more and more.

If he keeps this standard up I wonder if the Bulls try to move Ben Gordon before the trade deadline instead of letting him go for nothing at years end?

He will probably be the guy I follow second closest behind Oden this year.
